Visit the charming German town of Helen, where you can go tubing through town in the spring and summer! In Unicoi State Park, go hiking, rowing, or sit on the beach! Visit nearby Dahlonega, Clarksville and Dawsonville, where you'll find a variety of shopping experiences, from quaint mountain-town shopping to busy outlet stores! PLEASE NOTE: You need to be able to walk up and down a flight of stairs to enter and exit the property. Please consider this before choosing to rent.

Here for the wineries

We enjoyed our stay, really nice house except the bathroom had a really small shower and i wish the kids room would have been upstairs. Nicely decorated and veru clean and the kitchen was well stocked. Great stay!

Cozy Cottage

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay in this cottage. We traveled from Florida to attend a dance workshop in Sautee and the house was just what we were looking for. It was clean and cozy and had everything we needed. The owner was very responsive and even checked on us during the bad weather due to a hurricane. We would definitely like to stay here again next year!

Beautiful Mountain Cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The cottage is conveniently located, close to Cleveland and Helen. The sunrise and sunset are stunning at the property!! The host responded quickly to questions we had. Would definitely stay again :)

Perfect Place!

Sally’s cabin was the perfect place for our family! We were in town for a baseball tournament and we couldn’t have asked for a better place for the weekend! Sally was an amazing hostess and the cabin was very clean and nicely decorated. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place near Helen or Cleveland. We will be back for sure!

Fantastic Get Away

The property was absolutely adorable and incredibly clean. The rooms are perfect sized and comfortable. Loved the additional family items and things for guests to use. Sally was incredibly attentive. The whole place SCREAMS charm and relaxation. We had a nice little burn in the fire pit our last night after our trip to the winery down the road which was significantly better than the Yonah winery. There’s tons of cute places in the area. It’s close enough to Helen to get there quickly but far enough away to provide some solace from the holiday crowd. Our only complaint (not even a complaint as we are mountain people ourselves) is the driveway is difficult to pull out of if you have a longer vehicle. That’s just mountain living though. Just giving others the heads up, that could be hard if you’re not use to it.

Lovely cottage

We enjoyed our stay so much at this beautiful home! The home was very clean, beds were comfortable, great kitchen and everything we needed was provided. We loved sitting on the deck in the evenings. It is in a nice quiet neighborhood and in a convenient location. We would love to stay here if we’re in this area again!

Under The Stars

We enjoyed the location of this house which was close to several wineries and small quaint towns in the Georgia mountains. House was tastefully decorated and outdoor furniture was comfortable for sitting under the lights at night or drinking that first cup of coffee in the morning.

Very nice

We had a great time and really enjoyed this cottage. It was very clean, and cozy. My 7 year old daughter enjoyed it too. There were lots of activities there, board games and books she enjoyed using. Short drive to Helen , Ga. If I ever visit again, I wouldn't mind renting here. I think it's one of the best places I ha e rented through VRBO so far.

Great place with terrible steps.

For the most part this place was GREAT! Good value and a nice facility. Plus, the host was just as nice as she could be. However, I am nearly 70 year old and have balance issues due to an injury a few years back. There are more than a dozen steps to get up to the house. The bottom 5 steps DO NOT have a hand rail, and are rather steep/tall. This is very bad for somebody with balance problems. If you are young, healthy and agile, this place would be fantastic. They should either add a hand rail at the bottom or include a warning in the advertisement.

Amazing Stay

Everything about this stay and property was amazing. We traveled from the Florida Keys with our family of 5 ranging in ages of 22-6. Owners were extremely attentive, the house came with basics such as soap, shampoo, conditioner, few food items which was nice and saved us from having to go to the store right away. The home was packed with games and activities to keep all age groups, even the littles entertained. We especially loved Twister and Pie Face. They also did a great job recommending plenty of things to see and try around the area. We had smores every night :-) Definitely will be back to enjoy again!!

Didn’t want to leave!

I have nothing negative to say about this property, and I wouldn’t change a thing about my stay. The fire pit was fun. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had, literally, everything I needed, and the fridge is huge. There is even a first aid kit and fire extinguisher. I was very grateful for the provided shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, as I had none of my own. I saw many games, toys, a stroller, a baby carrier for hiking, hiking sticks, yoga mats, children's books, air purifier, pack and play, and more. Extremely family and kid friendly! Less than 15 minutes from Helen. I’d return in a heartbeat.

My name is Sally. I'm a retired teacher! My daughter-in-law, Melissa, previously managed this property for me since I listed it. I love to travel in the U.S., especially to visit family members and see new sights. I have a wonderful family in Florida, including 2 grandchildren, so I rent out this home on Laurel Ridge, and live in Florida to help take care of my grandchildren.

This property was my "go to" place on the weekends while I was still teaching. I love hilly, natural landscaping so I was thrilled to find this lovely home! It feels so secluded, yet my neighbors are wonderful, friendly people! I visit the property a few times a year to do improvements and just to enjoy all the home and area have to offer!

I enjoy the whimsical features of the architecture in this home! It has that cozy cottage feel, yet has room enough for guests to spread out, whether in one of the three bedrooms, or outside by the fire pit or on the deck areas. It's also quite nice to walk down the street to the quaint winery, which has music on Friday nights and a pizza oven where you can bake the pizza you bring, or just eat your own take out food and socialize; inside when it's cold and outside on warm spring or summer nights!
