Perfect

Absolutely wonderful location and beautiful home that fit our needs. We were in town for a conference and this allowed us to stay together as a group vs being in a hotel.

Parking

Only complaint was the parking barely enough room for two vehicles and have to access from the back of the property with a manual gate on a busy road

Old outdated college house who charges extra for mess.

The house is older and needs updating. It feels as if I was in college in the 80's. The pillows were flat and the bathrooms were outdated. I looked past it as I was a college student once and I figured this must be a poor college student's house they rent for game weekends. I left the house at 10am and my friends left shortly after. We paid a cleaning fee and cleaned up the place but didnt do a full cleaning bc we paid a fee. To my shock I was charged a $55 insurance claim to my VRBO insurance for late check out and additional mess. I am a 50 year old mom of two who have rented many vrbo way nicer places then this one all over the world and have never been charged for such an absurd fee. So renters beware of gouging charges to your insurance.

all isn't as it appears

We enjoyed our stay, & liked the house. But, future renters need to be aware that things are not as they appear. We were a group of 4, assuming we'd have 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths, & a half bathroom to use. The half bathroom & 1 of the bedrooms were locked up. I asked about this the 1st day, & got no resolution. Also, kitchen cleaning supplies were locked up under the sink- no dishwasher soap or garbage bags (sorry we couldn't take out the garbage on Wed). Im not used to providing my own detergent & garbage bags.

DIRTY

We booked this location looking forward to using the pool. The pool was so dirty, no one would have ever got in. I ask about it, they said they would try to get it cleaned. That did not happen. There was dirt (as if someone carried it in from the outside) on the floor, on the counter and in the shower. Requested help, was told they had to talk to their team. Nothing was ever taken care of. Very upset and very disappointed.

Worst rental we've had so far

There were several small things that weren't right but the biggest issue was the parking. According to the check-in email we got there was a driveway in the front of the house that would hold up to 4 cars. But there was NO driveway in the front! It was actually accessed from the back of the property off of a very busy street. And there was only room for 1 car on the cement pad. We had 2 cars so even though they asked us not to park on the grass we didn't have a choice. Other small things: no hand towels in the bathroom, ice maker didn't work, coffee maker took unusual filters but none were supplied, pool wasn't clean, living room furniture was VERY uncomfortable - spings in couch were non-existent. We have rented through VRBO and other websites like this more than a dozen times and always been satisfied until now.
