Newly renovated, peaceful, and welcoming home. Great location for family coming to see their loved one graduate from NAVY bootcamp. Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place. Food market, bakery, and Mexican food (amazing) take out across the street. Big shopping plazas less than 2 miles away with all the big name stores.. Peaceful neighborood close to the beach and down the street from a nice big park called Bowen park. Plenty of space in this Tri-level home for big families! Tv's in every room and living room space. Theatre with surround sound with bluetooth connection. Straight shoot to bnavy base for Navy recruit graduation. 15 mins from Six Flags Amusement Park. Can't be this location and the space. You and yours will love it!

The house was very well-maintained, extremely clean and well set up for our family. This is the best vacation rental I’ve stayed in where the kitchen was properly stocked with enough pots and pans to make a proper meal! There’s a coffee maker, dishwasher, toaster, gas, stove, microwave, plenty of dishes and utensils. The beds were comfortable, plenty of towels as well. It’s served us well for our four night stay. I would highly recommend staying here!

I would recommend this house to anyone who has a larger family going to Bootcamp Graduation. Has lots of bed one room had 2 sets of bunk beds. The house was clean. Easy to get to the base for graduation. Not a lot around, but shopping and restaurants are really not far away. There is a bakery across the street was really good. Owner was very responsive. I would Stay there again if we needed to visit the base again. I feel fairly priced.

Home suited our needs perfectly. Only suggestion would be to have some basic toiletries in the bathrooms, such as shampoo or bars of soap. The bedroom with the bunkbeds needs one or two small nightstands, so you can put a phone or bottle of water near the bed instead of on the floor. Ended up using a cardboard box as my table. But would definitely come back.

We had a great stay at this house. Good communication with host. The location is on a corner and is easy to access. There is a great park a 10-15 min walk away (it's really cool! And there's even a splash pad).The house was great for a large family. Lots of spaces to congregate in. An unusually small table for the number of people the house hosts though. We had to stand around to eat. Perhaps a folding table and chairs could solve that?The only issue is that the linen closet was stocked with damp towels. We put them in the dryer and took care of the issue ourselves. We wouldn't have minded if the cleaners left them in the dryer to finish drying. But actually, the dryer took several cycles to dry anything.

Navy Graduation

If your loved one is graduating from Great Lakes, this place is perfect. Great location, beautiful accommodations. The beds were so comfortable. It had everything you could need. Our sailor was super grateful for a "home" cooked meal. So much better than staying in a hotel.

My grandson graduated basic training. He was able to spend the entire holiday weekend. At the time we had everyone together we never felt crowded. Everyone slept well. Plenty of kitchen wear. Games to keep the young ones busy. I’d stay again. Thanks Graffiti

Great home for graduation

The home had everything we needed. The host was very attentive to any needs that came up. Neighborhood was close to navy bootcamp graduation. The neighborhood was quiet and we felt very safe being there. Would recommend this home to families that are coming in!

Bootcamp Graduation

If you are looking for a place to stay for your loved one that is Graduating Bootcamp, this location was PERFECT! Have you seen the notes from the Sarge yet and his shortcut advise... This location is set up perfectly for the shortcuts. You will be to base in no time, which means more time with your Sailor. The set up of this house is also PERFECT. You can have many guests, all will have a bed to sleep in or maybe a very comfy couch. The set up allows for privacy if you want it or has plenty of space to for all to enjoy each others company. There are some local restaurants in the area within walking distance or other restaurants within a 15-20 minute drive depending on what you are looking for. I HIGHLY recommend TUTES bakery, just check it out! The owner is very informative about expectations and was responsive to messages. The arcade was a HUGE hit with our family. This was an AMAZING home like experience for our family and our SAILOR.

More than expected!

Seriously when I came across this property while making plans for my son's Navy Bootcamp graduation I was sure it was going to be a mid-tier property for the price of the stay. I was absolutely wrong!The pictures don't encapsulate how wonderful of a home it was.The house is within easy driving distance to the Naval base and other places of interest. It's close to convenient stores and gas stations as well.It's located in a nice neighborhood and feels like a well loved house.There are TVs in every room, they are nice size and quality. The Internet is fast. There's plenty of seating and everything you need to cook from home.Plenty of beds to sleep in, 3 showers, great lighting, beautiful windows. It's a home I would live in comfortably with my own family.Communication with the owner was very simple, he answered almost immediately with the few questions I had.Access and instructions were all clear and accurate. Would absolutely stay again, and probably will.

Exceeded expectations!

We had a wonderful experience for our son's navy bootcamp graduation! The home was clean, cozy and spacious, bright and beautiful. We loved the popcorn machine, open design, and fun tri-levelish layout. We don't have basements in AZ so the kids loved that feature. We arrived early and was able to check in immediately! We left some graduation decorations in a kitchen drawer for future families. Extremely satisfied, thank you very much!!

The only complaints we had were no bath towel racks in the primary bath and no hand rail to the downstairs bedroom.

Perfect place for our Boot camp graduation

We arrived 8-7-2024 to such a clean & perfect property for our family. Our sailor had plenty of room to chill out & relax. When my sailor found out he had an additional day of leave, it worked out for the host & adding a day was not a problem. I highly recommend this property.

Amazing stay for Navy graduation!!!

The property was exactly as described. Very clean, very comfortable, and an EXCELLENT location for our sailor’s Navy boot camp graduation. The kitchen was very well set up for making our sailor his favorite meals. We bought groceries, obviously, but appreciated that there was coffee, tea, and hot cocoa already there. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend for Navy families. The host was great at communicating in a timely fashion & was helpful and friendly

Wonderful House

Highly recommend if you are a large family come to visit Chicago. We were up there for Navy Pass and Review. The house was close to base and train stations. The house was very clean and welcoming. We cooked many meals and had plenty of room to not be cramped like sardines. If we ever come up here again would rent this house again. The price was very affordable for a family of 10

Great Vacation home away from home

This was a great vacation home. It was a decent commute to Chicago for downtown festivities, close to shopping and necessities. The house has a great layout; tri-level makes for a nice division of rooms but everyone is still right there. 2 bedrooms upstairs and 2 in basement (one is attached to another and have to walk through); good sized kitchen, great size living room and family/rec room. The sofas were huge and super comfortable; even had a couple people sleep there instead of the beds which weren’t the most comfortable. Nice size smart TVs in every room made for great use of downtime when everyone was home.

Great place to stay

We had a very comfortable stay with family after our son’s bootcamp graduation. 10-15 minute drive to the base. 15-20 min drive to Gurnee Mills Mall. All beds were comfortable. Host very responsive to any questions we had. Definitely recommended. We would stay there again!

Great place for Navy graduation

Positives: Great spot for a Navy graduation, spotless home, good layout for larger groups, good price point, comfy beds, and lots of parking (be sure to understand the parking rules). Negatives: I had to reach out to the host in order to get check-in details, the security alarm went off when we first arrived and at midnight the day we were leaving, the house is very close to a fire station so you hear sirens all night long, the house is a multi-level floor plan (hard for a disabled person), we unpluged 8 air fresheners because they were so overpowering, and there were rules that were not given until it was too late to cancle. For example, a list of large fees was sent to me outlining charges for not cleaning the BBQ or popcorn maker if used, not putting away clean dishes at checkout, for spraying water out of the shower, or for flushing feminine products. These things should be outlined in the description. The host did reach out to ask if there was anything he could do to make up for the security alarm issue. Overall: This house met our needs. The location, price, and cleanliness were fabulous. I would book again, but only because I know all the details.
