Located directly downtown Elk Rapids along the river, surrounded by the beauty of Northern Michigan.

The Space:
The Dexter Hotel is newly renovated with a stunning luxury feel. With the natural beauty surrounding the hotel, you feel centered within an oasis of downtown Elk Rapids. The charm of the main street is on the south end of the block and the river and marina on the north end of the block to enjoy the best of both worlds.

As you enter our front door, you will find our front desk. If you are looking for informations about your stay or the area, please inquire with our staff. We are happy to assist you for any travel needs! Beyond the desk you will find our conveniently located elevator and stairs to lead you up to the second and third level rooms. Our main floor also has a full bar with options for beverages as well as a coffee lounge. This offers both indoor and outdoor seating options for you to enjoy!

The Junior Suite is a spacious and airy unit with large windows to fill the room with plenty of natural light . As you walk in, you will notice both rooms have large modern built in closets for your storage convenience. Within the kitchenette area you will be provided all of the coffee bar necessities for a short term stay. The kitchenette offers a convenient mini fridge with a table and chairs for dining. This calm and relaxing space has its own Juliet balcony to enjoy the calm breeze off the bay. Your space is made up with fresh bed linen as well as bath linens. Both bathrooms include a luxury bathroom bundle of soaps to enjoy during your short term stay. This is the perfect place for you to "get away" and make lifelong memories.

The Neighborhood:
Centered around Northern Michigans greatest attractions, the Dexter Hotel is close to everything! Right in town you will be next to some of the loveliest bodies of fresh water and also steps away from very cute shops and restaurants. So many things to see with only a short walk around town.

Just outside of town, the adventures are endless! The Dexter Hotel is close to many biking paths, hiking and biking trails, water activities, golf, and so much more! After your outdoor fun, enjoy some of Michigan's finest wineries, breweries, and cideries! Featuring all of the best plants grown and harvested right in Michigan!

Traveling a little further out of Elk Rapids to enjoy a day trip, the surrounding towns are spectacular! You can easily travel to Lake Michigan's big water, Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes or further north to see the Mackinac Bridge! In the winter, you can enjoy a quick drive to local ski resorts that are packed with fun. Skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, and more!

Getting Around:
Elk Rapids is about 30 minute drive away from the Cherry Capital Airport. Driving in town or within the area is most convenient for day trips to neighboring cities.

Bring your bikes or rent them to enjoy either off road or paved trails to enjoy our beautiful region to the fullest. Put a boat in at the marina or enjoy your pick of rental water craft for a day or two to get the serenity from a water view.
