Built by Anak A Harris in 1892 This Victorian Style home once sat on the very east edge of the Duluth city limits and features the original coal burning fireplaces traditional of the era.

Unit #3 of the Harris House is bright, sun-soaked apartment filled with all the comforts of home.

The living area features stain glassed window panes, a sleeper sofa and a Samsung Smart TV equipped with Netflix for your enjoyment. Take advantage of the well equipped kitchen during your stay or cozy up in the bedroom for a restful night sleep in the comfortable king bed.

Enjoy your vacation knowing that this property has ample amenities that make your travel experience a breeze. All linens are provided for your comfort as well as Wifi, off street parking, in unit laundry and we can accommodate your canine friend, so you won't have to leave fido home alone. We allow up to 2 dogs with a $75 fee per dog. Please see our rules and regulations in regard to bringing your furry friend.

The Harris House is located right next to the Superior Plaza where you can find conveniences such as CVS, Walgreens, Super One, Great Harvest Bakery and much more. However, if you want to experience Canal Park and Downtown Duluth you're only a quick 5 minute drive away.

Access: Accessing the apartment is super easy to get inside because there's a handy keypad on each of the doors. Just use the unique codes provided in your reservation instructions, and voila! You're in!

Parking: One off street parking space is available for each apartment. Additional vehicles can utilize street parking.

Guest Interaction: Our awesome guest service team is here to assist you from 8am to 9pm. If you have any questions or need anything, just give us a ring. You'll find our contact information in your booking confirmation. We'll primarily communicate through the booking platform and/or email, so keep an eye out for important check-in info. You'll receive all the details at 3pm on the day of your arrival. Check-in time is at 4pm. Check-out time is 10am. Feel free to reach out if you need anything else. We're here to make your stay amazing!

Transit: While having a car is recommended for convenience, no worries if you don't have one. You can hop on the Duluth Transit, or take advantage of ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft. And if you prefer traditional taxis, there are many other taxi services available too. So, whether you're cruising in your own car or using one of these convenient options, getting around won't be a problem at all. Enjoy your adventures in Duluth!

VACATION RENTAL HOUSE RULES

1. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS a) All Guests (and any Visitors) must comply with all House Rules and any other instructions from the Property Manager during their stay; and b) Guests must notify the Property Manager of any disputes or complaints from neighbors as soon as reasonably practicable.

2. NOISE AND THE NEIGHBORHOOD a) This Vacation Rental is suitable for children of all ages! Guests are fully responsible for the safety and security of their children at all times, as well as any disturbance caused to other residents in the Neighborhood; b) Guests and Visitors must keep noise to a minimum as not to disturb the occupants of neighboring properties – especially during nighttime hours (10pm – 8am), and upon arrival and departure; c) Excessive noise is prohibited at all times and may result in termination of the vacation rental agreement, eviction, loss of rental paid and extra charges which may be deducted from the Security Deposit;

3. VISITORS a) Guests are allowed a maximum of 4 visitors at any time during their stay. b) Guests are responsible for ensuring maximum visitor numbers are not exceeded; and that visitors are complicit with these House Rules.

4. FUNCTIONS a) Parties and large gatherings of any kind are strictly prohibited at the Vacation Rental; and b) Any small gathering must comply with other rules set regarding Noise, the Neighborhood and Visitor numbers.

5. PARKING a) Guests and any visitors are to comply with parking regulations and other requirements set out by the property manger and show consideration to neighbors and other vehicles; please use the designated parking.

6. SECURITY a) Any time Guests leave the Vacation Rental, it is their responsibility to ensure all windows and doors are closed/locked to maintain security and prevent rain and water damage. b) Guests must switch off the lights, air conditioning, fans, electronics such as televisions when not in use to promote energy saving.

7. SMOKING a) Smoking is not permitted inside the Vacation Rental; and b) Cigarette butts must be disposed of properly (in large trash cans located outside property or off property all together) and not thrown on property grounds. Failure to do so will result in a deduction from the security deposit.

8. PETS a) IF Pets are permitted at the Vacation Rental; b) Specific rules regarding Pets at the Vacation Rental are as follows: Please keep pets off all furniture and be sure to have on a leash at all times when outside of the home. Also be sure to clean up after your pet and dispose of waste in the trash bins located outside of property. Please respect neighbors by limiting the barking of pets on the property.c) A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed at the property; for short term reservations the pet fee is $75/dog, for extended stays the fee is $150/pet. All mention of pets denotes dogs only, no other pets are permitted.

9. DAMAGES AND BREAKAGES a) All Damages and Breakages must be reported to the Property Manager as soon as reasonably practicable. Failure to report them will likely result in a penalty deduction from the security deposit. And; b) To avoid Damages and Breakages, no furniture is to be moved from one room to another without prior agreement.

10. CHECK OUT ARRANGEMENTS a) Please be sure to lock all doors and leave both sets of keys back in the lockbox. Check out is at 10am - if you need a later checkout please contact me as soon as possible to make arrangements.

11. EMERGENCY CONTACT DETAILS: a) In the event of an emergency relating to the Vacation Rental, your emergency contact is: Heirloom Vacation Rentals 218-409-4885 b) In the event of all other emergencies please call 911.

12. COMPLIANCE a) Breach of any of these House Rules is a breach of the Terms and Conditions of occupancy as per the Rental Agreement. b) The Owner and Manager reserve the right to terminate permission to occupy and to evict from the Vacation Rental, any Guests or Visitors who refuse to follow these House Rules or who cause a nuisance to neighbors or other residents of the community.

We loved staying at the Harris House! It is a beatifully maintained home. The Urban Apartment we stayed in was spotless. We loved having the kitchen stocked with pots, pans, utensils, serving ware, and appliances. We made our own breakfasts each day and had ample room in the frig/freezer for our breakfast and picnic lunch items as well as the smoked fishwe purchased. The living room was very comfortable. The bedroom was restful. The bathroom was well stocked. Communication with the property management was wonderful as well. Clear, concise , and helpful. We highly recommend this property. We plan to stay here on our next Duluth trip!

Beautiful Room | Uncomfortable Stay
The booking experience was easy and communication with the host and their team was excellent. The unit was beautifully furnished and the bed linens were soft. I had plenty of towels and was happy to be able to cook my meals and use the dishwasher and laundry. However I can't overlook how uncomfortable I was staying there. There were individual ac wall units that had remotes you could set to a cool temperature; but the wall units would not turn on. It was miserable sleeping in the unit as the upstairs guests stomped and ran around into the early morning hours (12am-3am). The noise from the street and hospital nearby; created a noise nightmare. The bed was quite hard and on top of being miserably hot; I was also in pain. Additionally; the only vehicles that fit in the parking spaces, are small compact vehicles. One evening, I couldn't even park my F150 due to the other guests parking into my designated spot. My truck did not fit in the designated spot either, as the bed of my truck protruded into the alley. I also experienced severe allergy symptoms while in the unit. My overall stay was miserable. I really wished it could have been better.
