"River Wind" sijaitsee rannikolla kylässä Edgecomb juuri toimesta tapahtuvaa sillan Wiscasset. Sijaitsee 5+ yksityisen ja metsäinen eekkeriä 400 jalat Sheepscot joen. Syvä vesi telakka odottaa innokas veneilijä. "River Wind" on sijainniltaan lyhyitä matkoja Boothbay alueen, Damariscotta, Camden ja Pemaquid Lighthouse. Relaxing, perfect base for mid coast Maine

Relaxing family trip. Great base to easily get to boothbay harbor, wiscasset, barh/Brunswick, beaches, etc. Plenty of room and separate spaces for kids or multiple couples.

Great place but trust the reviews about the walk down to the water!

Our stay at the place was very good and it fit us all very comfortably. My only suggestion mimics other reviews in that believe us when we say the walk down to the water is a little sketchy.

Stay was decent. The heat shut off in middle of night leaving it freezing in morn. There was no salt or sand at drip lines of house making it dangerous for those unsteady on feet. All in all decent stay

Wonderful stay!

Property is very nice and clean. Just like going back to home. We also enjoyed the dock, even it took some effort going down and up, but it is a good excise. We had great time staying this property. There is plenty rooms for different purposes. In the morning, we got together in the sunroom singing and praying so that we don't disturb kids' sleeping. We enjoyed our stay hope will go back in the future.

Hurricane Weekend

We had a great time at this spacious property - lots of places to gather- especially the porch overlooking the river. And best of all - a whole-house generator that came on as soon as the power went out for Hurricane Lee. The owner was kind with answers to all our questions.

Great Maine hideaway!

Overall our stay here was fantastic. The house is lovely, views unparalleled, and location ideal. The house feels very private and is clean, comfortable and well maintained. I have no qualms recommending this house to anyone for a stay, and would love to go back myself. My only warning to future guests is that the water off the dock in the back of the house can have a strong current depending on what the tide is doing, so, while it is a stunning place to sit and chat, it may not be ideal for kids swimming or people who are not strong swimmers in general. However, you have close access to a lot of beautiful Maine swimming beaches (by car) so that may not be an issue. Hoping to return here soon!

Fourth of July in Edgecomb

What an incredible property. It was raining for a few days but we still had a wonderful time. The view is soothing and majestic. We brought kayaks and saw bald eagles, herons and seals. We didn’t catch a fish but we sure had fun trying on the dock. The open format of the kitchen and living room made it so nice to spend time together while preparing meals. We just loved our trip here!

What a view!

This property is awesome. The view of the river was so beautiful. My mother is handicapped and we had no trouble getting her in to the house or out on the porch. Ralph was a wonderful host and was ready to answer any questions. Other than a small ant problem in the downstairs bathroom, everything was excellent. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Wish we had one more day

The property exceeded expectations and Ralph was quick to answer any questions I had. The views are amazing and like the other reviews mention, the sunsets are special. The house is also in a really good location - equidistant (~15 mins) to both Wiscasset and Boothbay Harbor. My group of 4 had such a great time on our golf trip to Belgrade Lakes and Samoset, and I would definitely make a return visit. Thanks again, Ralph!

A Little Piece of Heaven on Earth

This was one of the most relaxing vacations that I have had in a long time. The house was clean, inviting, and the perfect size for our group of six. We had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy. Long mornings on the dock with a book and a cup of coffee were my favorite part of the day. Beautiful sunsets at night that we enjoyed from both the dock and the deck. The location was central to all of the places we wanted to go including Booth Bay Harbor and Freeport. Thank you, Ralph, for sharing your little piece of heaven with us.

Very nice. A step was missing to the stairs going down a rather treacherous path to the wonderful dock. We were from sc and used to air conditioning and we did not realize the house had none. He did provide fans which helped and the few days we were there the weather was hot and humid

Storybook Beautiful!

This property is truly like being in a storybook (or Hallmark movie). Breakfast was prepared in the gorgeous kitchen each morning and enjoyed on the full deck that overlooks the river. There were plenty of bedrooms, two with views of the river (one of my favorite things about staying here is the awe of waking up to those views), the house is laid out so it was easy to visit. We grilled one night for dinner and it was really nice that the supplies for grilling were already provided. There is also a really nice breezeway with seating and a telescope for star gazing. We also enjoyed an outdoor fire one night. The property and area were not only beautiful, but there was so much to do and enjoy, plus the people are really friendly! A truly wonderful experience for our first time in ME.

Very close to perfect, with great location & views

Overall, we’d come back. The location is private and quiet with some great glimpses of the river through the trees. There’s plenty to do within 30 minutes of the place. We had 8 adults and one toddler and we felt comfortable in the space. Kitchen was well equipped. 2 reasons I give 4 instead of 5 stars: 1. The walk down to the dock could be a little less treacherous (1 step was missing but even if that was there, it’s still pretty steep and when it’s wet, it can be slippery getting down there but the rope to hold onto is appreciated)…2. The main deck has webbing on the bottom half. We were still concerned about our toddler being around the railing and would suggest extending the webbing all the way to the rail. There’s no webbing on the master bedroom patio. A gate on the main deck would also be nice to keep the kids and dogs contained while outdoors. If those improvements were made, this listing is definitely 5 stars. The host was accommodating when one of the guests decided to bring their dog with short notice so that was also appreciated.

Great relaxing weekend!

House is great! Very clean and spacious. Sat on the deck every day and just watched boats go by. Went down to the dock a few times and did some fishing. The stairs to the dock are VERY slippery when wet so be careful but everything was great!

Family Getaway

We stayed at Ralph's with our extended family ranging from 1 - 60 years old. His home was a wonderful place for us to play games, watch movies, and enjoy the view.

Beautiful Home in an Amazing Setting

The house was just as described. The owner was easy to speak with us and helped us out when our son left some items in the bathroom by mailing them to us. We really liked all the separate spaces, the ice machine, the whole house water filtration system, the location, the water access, and the AC. We will be staying here again.

Relaxing vacation

Such a comfortable home. Well equipped and lots of room for a family. Very peaceful and quite. Perfect place to just chill and enjoy family. (Plenty of places to go and things to do if you wish). Property manager was friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend the home.

During my travels I always try to stay in VRBO homes. And I've tried to incorporate into this beautiful property many of the features I've seen in other homes . Maine summers are filled with many activities and I rarely leave Maine in the summer because it is the place to be.

As you approach the property you drive down the tree lined Cross Point Drive with the expanse of the Sheepscot River to your right. You make a right turn on River Wind Lane and follow the winding driveway to the house. This fine property in its very private 5 acre setting is what Maine is all about and is as good as it gets.

The house sets on a perch above the grand Sheepscot River with stunning views from throughout the house. Inside the Post and Beam construction blends well with the array of windows. The full and ,private deck overlooking the river is always a cool (yet sunny) pleasant place to relax.
