Beautiful Home

Beautiful home. I grew up in this area and live out of state now. Great place to reunite with family. Outdoor area is beautiful. Would definitely book again.

Great stay!

Everything was as advertised, location is amazing with both sunrise and sunset views. My kids loved watching the big fish in the canal and spent endless days in the pool. Very easy drive to grocery, Pompano Pier and beaches. The house is great with big rooms and all but one bed were very comfy (squeaky, worn out bed in one of the bedrooms). Overall we loved it here and would stay again!

Nice Property, check that pool heater works

Houses as described with nice inlet waterfront with fish to watch. Rooms were clean and expansive kitchen. Ran into issue as the pool heater was broke and this the pool was not able to be enjoyed. The heater has been broken for some time, although not reflected in the listing nor were we informed prior to arrival. Owner did give discount, but not to the level we thought was appropriate. At the owners mercy for refund amount. Renters beware. If/when heater is fixed, will be a good option.

Changed listing after we checked in

We booked this stay specifically because of the gorgeous backyard oasis description in the listing. The kids were super excited to fish off of the back dock. Unfortunately, there was a huge yacht blocking the entire dock, other than about 3 feet on either end. Every time they casted their lines, they would get stuck in the boat's mooring lines. This was not in the listing description, and we questioned the host after checking in. They didnt respond when I asked where any disclaimer was in the listing, but proceeded to change the listing and add a disclaimer to the listing saying that there is a "boat in the backyard that takes up a good portion of the view". This materially changes the value of the listing. We had taken a screenshot of the original listing and escalated to VRBO. So shady and untrustworthy. Good features:-Great location-Spacious house with pool table-Nice poolBad features:-host changed listing after I checked in-only 3 beach chairs, and no beach umbrella-many of the electrical outlets didnt work-shower towels were small, no shower hooks in bathrooms

Deceptive listing

We had booked this property due to the beautiful view of the waterfront, in the photos and the access to the water. When we arrived at the property, there was a giant yacht down by the waterfront, that took over the complete waterfront access. You literally could only fish in a tiny little corner. The pool was dirty. There was trash all in the front of the property with over flowing garbage. I called the property manager. He said the pool was dirty because of the rain and that he would send somebody over to clean up all the garbage in the front of the house. The following day they send somebody to clean the pool, but no one to clean up the garbage, so I ended up cleaning it up. Also they were trying to sell the yacht, so they had people coming in and out of the yard to either work on the boat or prospective buyers looking at the boat. I complained to VROB that it was a deceptive listing, that there was literally no access to the waterfront due to this giant yacht blocking the complete view. I went back-and-forth with VRBO. I receive no compensation for their deceptive listing. I’d say if I knew the water front was completely blocked. I would have chosen a different property. VROB‘s response was the owner didn’t feel he needed to reimburse me with regards to his deception. What a joke.
