The adjacent dining area provides a table and six chairs, with additional seating for 3 at the spacious kitchen island. This well-equipped space is perfect for entertaining or meals at home. The dining and kitchen areas flow seamlessly into the living space, where you’ll enjoy relaxing around the gas fireplace, watching TV, playing games, or enjoying conversation. • Downtown West Jefferson has shops, art galleries, breweries, Ashe County Cheese, and great restaurants. Information on all these attractions, plus others, are in the house and are available to send upon your arrival. The house is 5 minutes from the middle of Downtown West Jefferson.
• Old Barn Winery and Frosty’s is located one mile from the house. The winery features a beautiful pastoral setting among lovely hilltops and Frasier Fir Christmas trees, and each weekend, it offers entertainment from all genres.
• If you enjoy golf, you are a short 5-minute drive to Mountain Aire Golf Course. It is a beautiful, well-maintained 18-hole public course with scenic mountain views and some of the ruggedness you would expect to find in the Appalachian Mountains. Jefferson Landing is a 10-minute drive. This course, designed by PGA champion and World Golf Hall of Famer Larry Nelson, provides a challenge for golfers of all levels. The course features gentle, rolling terrain and spectacular views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

• Looking for outdoor adventures? Canoe the New River, try tubing for a relaxing ride down the river or try your luck at fishing.
• If you enjoy hiking, there are many trails and parks a short drive, offering hiking at all skill levels. Plus, the Blue Ridge Parkway is minutes away.
