Wonderful property

was already one of our favourite areas.

we are fairmont regular customers. this property exceeded any stay we have ever had. beautiful homely stay. we became friends with the staff at the property they were so friendly and welcoming. amazing stay. amazing double storey loft 2 bedroom residence. next level fairmont. waking up to views of the bay and alcatraz was such an incredible experience. thank you so much for having us.

Safe and convenient

Hard to imagine a more perfect location for a trip in the city and surrounding areas. Try Gary Danko's restaurant it's a block away and a safe walk. Safety is tough in San Francisco but we had zero issues here. The room is beautiful and well appointed. The unit we stayed in was on the second floor and situated next to the mustard terrace where a nighttime fire pit and casual group can gather. 5 Stars

Fantastic location - a true gem

The description undersells this property, which is right in the center of Ghiradelli Square overlooking the best chocolate sundaes on earth! The views are spectacular, the fire pit is a bonus, and the staff is impeccable.

Literal perfection

This property was spectacular! Every single touch was thought of and provided, we had a view of fisherman’s wharf and a private balcony. The staff was so helpful and made the stay absolutely sublime. The property is gorgeous and so well appointed. We will be staying here again. Renee (the owner) is such a delight to work with.

Great stay in SF

My family stayed and the property for 3 days to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We had a great time and the property was one of the nicest we’ve ever stayed at using VRBO. Amazing service, location and amenities. Would definitely recommend and stay there again whenever we are in the area.

Exceptional across the board

For anyone looking to hit the tourist spots in SF, this is probably the most perfectly located accommodation you will find. On top of the location, the staff is exceptional. The condo is top notch - clean, well equipped, spacious - everything you could ask for. The two house cars which will take you anywhere within 2 miles are incredibly helpful. Highly recommend this rental.

Family vacation

The location is fantastic and the space worked very well for the four of us!! Great views of the bay. The property staff are very friendly and responsive to requests. The one issue is the main hallway for the level above is directly over the bedrooms so you hear all the foot traffic late at night and early morning.

Great location

The location is great with lovely views of the bay from the private deck or room if you get a bay view room. The layout is nice. I love the natural exposed brick on the unit’s exterior walls. The unit is large especially compared to typical SF rooms. The decor was pretty and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen is lovely and well equipped. I enjoyed having a tub in my bathroom. We appreciated the continental breakfast each day. However we only caught the tail end of the evening wine reception once as it’s from 5 to 6 pm. The car service was convenient. We liked having a doorman. I hope to stay there again and would highly recommend it.

Amazing Property

I've traveled all around the world and have stayed at hundreds of properties. This one might be the best. Prime location, great amenities, impeccable service. We had a great time on the balcony which over looks Alcatraz. It was a great place for a cup of coffee in the mornings or a glass of wine in the evenings.

San Francisco Treat! Prime Location with Premium Service!

Located within the Ghirardelli Square, this Fairmont property was super convenient to the waterfront. The property was updated, comfortable and well appointed. We loved sitting out at the firepit for early morning coffee and again for wine and cheese in the late afternoon. The staff is awesome...responding quickly to any need or issue. We will definitely stay here again when visiting San Francisco.

Perfect Spring Break Trip

My family of 5 enjoyed a fabulous spring break at the Fairmont. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who would otherwise need 2 hotel rooms--it's worth every penny. The concierge team makes this place perfect for anyone who wants to have a stress-free vacation in San Francisco. The driver service was always available to take us or pick us up anywhere in the city. The team arranged a movie night, complete with popcorn, for my young daughters after a long day of walking around the city. They also gave my daughters a special milk and cookies coupon, which was a big hit. The accommodations are large and comfortable, albeit a little worn (but nothing that a little paint and stain wouldn't fix). Make sure and take some wine out on one of the two terraces and enjoy breathtaking view of the Bay!

Luxury and space for days!

Great location, space and luxury. We we're lucky enough to get a 2 bdr unit overlooking the Bay. We were traveling with our 2 teens and 1400 SF with high ceilings and fully appointed apartments made our stay comfortable. The staff from beginning to end were amazing and super helpful, from ordering groceries, to car service within 2 miles. If we travel to San Fran again we will stay here and would love to come with extended family. The outside decks are an added bonus to watch the view and the activities at Ghiradelli square below and the firepits make it cozy during the chilly evenings. We loved the Fairmont Heritage Residences! The Cliborne Family

Beautiful property with many amenities/Great Location

We loved our little getaway to San Fran and staying in this lovely property. The location is fantastic, beautiful and well appointed. We stayed with our family of 5 (me, hubby, Mom and two teenage daughters). The apartment is HUGE, allowing for nice family meals/gatherings. The shared deck overlooking Ghirardelli Square and the harbor is breathtaking. There were a couple of things I would suggest for improvements, however. 1) The soft supplies (paper goods, shampoo, laundry soap, etc) should be stocked more generously. We had to call several times for refills (we're not overusers). The staff was very accommodating and always brought what we needed but I felt as though these things could have been anticipated and provided ahead of time so that we didn't have to ask). 2) The apartment, while beautiful and stylish, could use a little TLC. The headboard in the master bedroom was rotting and coming loose (we did speak with the staff upon our exit and they indicated that they are aware of this issue); the blinds are fairly cumbersome to operate and are loud when being raised or lowered (which is only an issue when those of us who got up early wanted to enjoy our coffee with some sunlight and others were still sleeping). 3) This is probably my biggest issue with VRBO/this location - they weren't able to guarantee a location until we got there. Of course we got the room on the back of the property with the view of the parking garage :( . It helps that there is a nice, shared deck, but for the kind of money we spent on this room it would be nice to be able to guarantee what you will be looking at for three days. We chose this property over others due to the views and unfortunately the only way we could enjoy them was to sit outside with a bunch of strangers after traipsing down a rather long, awkward hallway. I know these are minor issues and I would not bring them up if it wasn't for the price we paid - I feel like we paid top dollar for this location and it fell a bit short in my opinion. Lesson learned; I will look for properties in the future at which we can know where we will be located.

Spectacular

Great property with fantastic views! The staff is excellent. There is a continental breakfast and wine tasting included daily. The location can't be any better when exploring San Francisco. Just a total pleasure!

Outstanding!

Just finished a week long stay with my wife and 3 college age daughters. The owner, Renee, was friendly, accommodating and very quick to respond. The 2 BR unit and the property itself was beautiful. View of the bay and Alcatraz was great. Location was awesome. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Complimentary breakfast each morning and wine and cheese each evening was was well done . The property car ( Cadillac Escalade SUV) and driver came in very handy and seemed to be readily available. One of the most comfortable sleep sofas in the living room that I have seen. Overall, an outstanding week.

We are family with 4 young kids and we live out of state. When we are in San Francisco, we love to be outside as much as possible. This includes taking the kids to the park, shopping and eating in the Marina, taking runs along Crissy Field or taking our bikes over the GG Bridge.

We looked at several properties before deciding to purchase at the Fairmont. We loved the proximity to cable cars, the beach, parks, restaurants, shopping. We love sitting on the Mustard Terrace and taking in the views by the fire.

The staff at the Fairmont always make our stay easy and try to accommodate all of our needs. They are responsive and knowledgable.
