A lot of bulbs need to be replaced inside. Would not rent again as is.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had stayed at this house 4 years ago. Happy we didn't have to supply our own linens or towels. But the house itself was a somewhat wore down, numerous marks on the walls, outside decks need major attention. The outside stairs has numerous nails sticking up, one of which my son stepped on, fortunately not causing any injury. Overall the stay was comfortable as before, beds are great, pillows not so much. Staff at the rental office was very friendly and helpful.

Reviewer Comments: Our experience overall was good but the management companies fall short on having the properties checked by someone competent (doing a walk through)prior to guests arriving. There are always things needing attention that are very obvious! This year there was a large dead roach middle of the living room floor and a dead squirrel near the pool as well as several lights needing new bulbs including the top of steps entry. Personally I like the property and this experience has been similar at several other properties. When you are paying hard earned money for a vacation you deserve a competent person checking basics prior to your arrival.

Repeat Renter, Maybe the Last

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed here three times now and this time was definitely down hill, sadly. The rental company is great, they were so sweet, but the house was dirty... layers of dust on blinds and windows and baseboards. We had a broken freezer which took days to fix and our fridge didn't cool correctly. Our pool was cloudy and green, they did get it fixed but it was gross still. Location made up for most of that, but it was definitely not as nice as prior years. Luckily, no more palmetto bugs this year!

Railing broken on second entrance not good when we had four handicapped people with us.. would not rent again unless updates were done.

I have to admit it was cleaner this year than previous years, but it still needs some deep cleaning. Baseboards, ceiling fans, carpet and furniture need attention. There are some maintenance problems also. Weak floor in downstairs bathroom. Nails heads sticking out from under stairwell ground floor. Light bulbs that need replacing. Handrail loose going from ground floor to first floor porch. I hope next year some of these things will be taken care of.

It was also not well stocked (ex 5 brs but only 6 spoons; 0 serving bowls). We called for supplies, repairs & to ask to something removed. We even changed the air filter. It was in a great area, great pool, great size. Just such a disappointment w a filthy sofa, area rug (which we had removed), broken furniture, handrails, etc. Would have loved to love this place.

Perfect Family Vacation

I couldn't find any recent reviews on this house so we were a bit concerned but the house was as advertised. The pool was nice, it was an easy walk to the beach and the kitchen was well equipped.

very disappointed in this rental unit

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location is a main road with a lot of traffic. Property was not clean, and even had rice and lettuce on one of the mattress covers. Horrible smell, probably due to floors in several areas definitely had water damage. Pool light hasn't worked according to the reviews since 2015 and backyard has no lights to night swim. Porch rockers are flaking paint so bad you can't sit on them. Hammock was coming apart more everytime someone sat on it. Had the maintenance dept change a/c filter because of the smell. We came home to find the door unlocked with a note on the counter that the filter was changed. Pool was not clean when we checked in and did not get cleaned all week long.

The pool was a bit small and needed a mid-week cleaning which it did not get, but we used it daily and appreciated it with the super hot weather. The views were great and it was super easy walk to the beach. I would suggest the owners look into new beds, especially the king bed on the 2nd level, it was not comfortable and you could see the sagging on each side of the matress. I did also have to clean the kitchen upon arrival as there was dried juice on the refrigerator and floor. We enjoyed our stay and I would recommend this house/location to future renters. Garden City Realty was very nice and easy to work with as well.

It is because it is roomy enough for our big group to spread out and and every bedroom has its own en-suite. The beds are getting very warn though, owners should look at replacing the mattresses soon. The TV's are as pictured, small and strangely placed and old cable only, but I'm sure like the majority of your time it would be outdoors like we did so not much of a issue. There were a few issues that continues, the pool light has never worked, we got golf carts rentals, both were electric so they both had to charge this year, but the only plug on ground level has a timer on it and only lets you charge them during daylight hours only, so you can only time to charge them is time you want to be out on them! Would like see more stuff in the kitchen not enough silverware for a big group, no containers or non stick pans ect. We had so much fun swimming and relaxing in the back by the pool and hammock or just a block & 1/2 from the beach. Very close to the pier that had something going on every night.

Second time staying

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is very good for my family of 10. Location to beach is an easy walk. However, the house could use a good deep cleaning. There was a layer of dust under the furniture along with debris. Apparently someone had been there with a cat because there was a cat toy under the sofa. The cushions need to be cleaned. They were very dirty. Baseboards need to be cleaned also. Need more chairs on the decks. There could be more utensils for cooking along with better pots and pans. It was nice to have the pool to cool off in.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was exactly as pictured. It was roomy enough for our group to spread out and have their own space. I appreciated that every bedroom had its own bathroom. The beds however were very uncomfortable and owners should look at replacing the mattresses very soon. The TVs - as pictured - are small and oddly placed. They are not smart TVs therefore cable only, but if you are spending the majority of your time outdoors like we did then not much of an issue. There were a few maintenance issues during our stay - the sink in the downstairs bathroom did not drain and the pool light did not work. The maintenance man apologized but was unable to repair either during our stay. Hopefully this is functional for the next guest. The location of this property is perfect - we were close enough to be be able to easily get to the public beach access directly at the end of the road.

Second Time at This Property

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house size and location is fantastic. It's only a block and a half to the beach. The pool is small, but really great. My only complaint is that we have encountered roaches each visit - there were more in our first visit... inside the couches. This time, we were nervous to sit down. My husband actually had one crawl across his foot. For this reason, we will likely not go back. Which stinks, but it is what it is.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were not pleased with Sandy Paws. The washer was broke when we got there. The couch was broken down and worn out, very uncomfortable. The king size bed was worn out and you sank into dips on each side. The shower head in the upstairs bathroom needs replaced. The water barely came out. The bathroom fan in the same bathroom was disgusting.

Stay at Sandy Paws

Property did not have an ironing board and within an hour rental customer service had maintenance deliver one. Enjoyed the pool but felt that it should have been cleaned after the storm and the fact we were there from Friday until Thursday.
