A Cozy Retreat with a Touch of Magic

Tonia’s Cottage in Alagni Village is a peaceful escape where rustic charm blends with modern comfort. The split-level design offers a cozy bedroom beneath a wooden ceiling, a private bathroom, and a living area with a comfy sofa bed and dining space. On cooler evenings, light the fireplace, enjoy a morning coffee with mountain views, or unwind with a book under the wooden beams. It’s the perfect spot to slow down and enjoy the moment.

Comfort Meets Character

This cottage is designed for comfort, with everything you need for a relaxing stay: fast WiFi, air-conditioning, a well-equipped kitchen with a coffee machine and microwave, and a washing machine. Upstairs, the inviting bedroom with a wooden roof creates a warm and cozy atmosphere. Downstairs, relax in the sitting area with a versatile sofa bed—ideal for unwinding after exploring the island. The modern bathroom with a shower completes the space, offering a peaceful retreat.

Alagni may be small, but it has a big heart. Just 25 km from Heraklion, it’s a quiet village rich in history, with Minoan and Byzantine ruins nearby. Enjoy award-winning wines at family-run wineries like Lyrarakis or Stilianou, or simply relax under the platanus tree in the village square, where locals gather for traditional Greek coffee. The village’s welcoming atmosphere lets you experience the authentic Cretan way of life, surrounded by nature and genuine hospitality.

I love how the village maintains its traditional character while being open to new experiences. The warmth of the locals and the relaxed pace of life here are truly special.
