Verandas 709 is a 1 bedroom, 1 bath oceanfront condo located in the popular Ocean Drive section of North Myrtle Beach. Verandas 709 is on the 7th floor of this 11 floor concrete and steel complex. This cozy rental sleeps 6. This one bedroom rental has 2 queen beds, a queen sleeper sofa, a kitchen (no dishwasher), free WiFi, 2 TVs, and free parking (2 parking passes) . There is no washer/dryer in this rental. Verandas is conveniently located on Ocean Boulevard and is only a short walk to Main Street (5 blocks) where nightlife, restaurants, shopping, and good times can be found. Grocery stores are also within a short distance of your vacation rental in North Myrtle Beach.

Verandas is a family oriented rental property with an outdoor pool, lazy river, hot tub, and 3 level parking garage. Verandas does not allow pets or motorcycles and is a non-smoking property. Student groups are not allowed; families only. There is an on-site parking garage with free parking. Vehicle height capacity in parking garage is 6'6".

Verandas 709 has easy access to the beach for that anticipated walk along the shoreline while feeling that warm Carolina sunshine. Not exactly what we thought

We had fun. The staff at check in were super nice and helpful. The lock in front doesn’t work well. The door is hard to open. The sliding glass door handle is broken. There was a huge black hairball in our shower. There was an overwhelming musty smell which is coming from the dressers so I wouldn’t put clothes in them. The bedroom closet had cleaning supplies in it. Nowhere to put clothes. No storage for anything really. The ac unit in the living room is super loose on the wall. The fire alarm for boiling noodles for spaghetti! I had to close the doors between living room and bedroom. It was hot. I take it that is why the alarm in the kitchen is gone.

Nice but could be better

I’m pretty easy to please and don’t complain. The property was in a great location. Picking up the keys down the street was fine. But there’s some sort of lockbox on the doorknob that 1. Could be used for key pickup? And 2. Made it very hard to unlock the door all the time. It was just annoying. The door is VERY heavy and slams HARD behind you so we had to be conscious of that.We were there for a whole week and were given a good amount of towels but only a few rolls of toilet paper so we had to buy more. We were given dishwasher detergent but there was no dishwasher, so dish soap and a clean sponge would’ve been better.Lastly, I’d assume if you have a beach property you’d provide beach materials. Beach towels, an umbrella and maybe a couple chairs. There was nothing provided. Granted, the list of materials they listed to bring included beach stuff- but- we came from across the country so that wasn’t happening and honestly I assumed that was just a generic list because a beachfront property couldn’t actually require you to bring those things. All in all it was fine, but with such a nice spot I think they could take an extra few steps to make it a stellar place to stay rather than just “fine”.
