Wonderful vacation

This house was perfect for our family week in sandbridge. We had more than enough room for 8 of us ...two kids under 6. Very clean and comfortable. The pool was fantastic with lots of deck space and just so peaceful. The owners were very pleasant and responded almost immediately with any concerns. Overall a fantastic trip!our family enjoyed everything about this house

Nice home with great amenities.

The home was extremely clean. Everything including the towels, sheets, kitchen. Our large family of kids and adults loved the home. Would definitely stay here again. We really needed to bring nothing. Great place with lots of amentieis.

Delightful week in Sandbridge

Beautiful community and beach area to enjoy with home in great location. We really enjoyed this home as it was clean, spacious, and had a great recreational feel- large, beautiful pool, canoe/kayak/paddleboard, screened in porch and outdoor seating areas with shade. Kevin is extremely responsive and is very available. Highly recommend this home for couples and families.

Wonderful property!

We had a great stay at Kevin’s home in Sandbridge! The check in was welcoming as Kevin met us at the house and ensured we had what we needed. It was nice to have ample wagons, high chair and pool floats as it decreased our packing necessities. The property was everything we had hoped for and enjoyed the pool and short walk to the beach! The home was clean and would definitely recommend!

Great vacation home for our group!

The home was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Awesome pool and great location on the canal. The walk to the beach was short and there was a grocery store and restaurants nearby. The owner was very helpful and responsive to our questions. We would definitely stay here again!

Family vacation

We absolutely loved staying at this home. The pool, all the toys and supplies for the beach was very much appreciated. We spent a lot of time outside with the pool. It was well lite at night and a lot of seating. I would recommend this Home.

Great Family Vacation Rental!!

This home was perfect for a family beach getaway! It offered a great location, plenty of amenities and was very well kept. The VRBO summary was on the mark. The owner (Kevin) was also very responsive and polite. We would definitely rent this home in the future.

Beautiful clean property, wonderful stay

Zero complaints. Our four kids loved the pool and trying the various boats! Kevin was great as far as giving us the lay of the land and suggesting local restaurants etc. the house was gorgeous and clean, clean, clean. We couldn’t have asked for a better place. Short bike ride or walk to beach too!

Beautiful vacation home! We had everything we needed for a perfect vacation home.

Kevin was extremely attentive when we needed something. The backyard, pool, cabana, grill, paddle boat, and paddle board kept everyone entertained and happy. Plus, easy access to the beach for great beach days. The home was spotless and well equipped. We loved everything!!

Perfect location

The house was on the canal which my kids loved fishing. The outside setup is everything. You have to drive 10-15 to get to a Walmart or Food lion. The beach is within walking distance. We say dolphins everyday we went.

Great outdoor area. Pool was perfect. The paddle board, canoe and kayak were enjoyed by everyone. Everything was in great working condition and clean. The outdoor decor and foliage was beautiful. Kitchen was stocked with anything you would need. You can tell they take very good care of this home.

Family vaca

We enjoyed our stay, despite the horrible house fire across the street. The inside of the house was clean and ready for us. The outside is a lovely area that is both fun and relaxing. The children loved the pool. The house is on a very quiet street and It is a short, easy walk to the beach. We would return to Sandbridge in the future.

Everything we hoped for!

There were so many great amenities at this house. We loved the pool and all of the floats. The cabana was the lovely and great for shade. We enjoyed using the various boats to explore the inlets and the bay. It’s less than a 10 minute walk from the front door to the beach and my 7 and 10 year old kids didn’t Mind the walk at all. The hone was very clean and the kitchen had all the gadgets etc we needed. We loved every minute at this home!

Very relaxing!

Our 3 extended families had a very nice time at this property. The outside layout is beautiful for relaxing, reading, swimming, grilling, fishing,....The walk to the beach is a little farther than expected with a couple little grandkids, but doable. Only complaint is the dehumidifier on the first floor was very loud and not real efficient in drying out the stale air. Put an overhead fan in the screened in porch off the kitchen and you have the perfect breakfast location!

Not as Advertised!

Listing noted there was a paddle boat that seated 4-5 people, bicycles, a basketball hoop in the driveway, and a hot tub, none of those items were available. He has since updated his listing, but it still shows a hot tub (he considers two seats in the corner of the pool with water same temperature as the pool a hot tub). Also lists all beds as queen and one was definitely smaller, probably a full size. Owner also showed up just about every day and we were surprised to see him at the house at 6:15 AM on the day of our departure. Despite our dissatisfaction that the listing was not accurate and we felt our privacy was invaded, the house is well maintained, clean and in a good location. We did rent a golf cart which made trips to the beach easier.

Summer relaxation

We thoroughly enjoyed your home Kevin and beautiful backyard. The house and property were clean and well kept up. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for cooking. Thank you for providing paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, tissues and laundry detergent so we didn't have to get them. We loved the screened in porch for our morning coffees and devotion time. Perfect backyard for sunbathing and eating outside at your picnic table. Pool was clean .... we wish the weather had been a little warmer to enjoy..... maybe next time. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Great property! Perfect beach home for a family vacation on the bay side. Clean and great layout. As stated 10 to 15 minute flat walk to the beach. Pool is excellent. Plenty of quality chairs and water toys. You can easily enjoy the channel/bay water with the water toys. Little more difficult to get out into the main bay without a powered boat then we would have though. Still enjoyable and were able to catch catfish off the dock mostly in the early evenkng into dark. Downstairs bathroom is convenient for the outside area, better than walking upstairs. Just remember to keep the doors locked as it is a thrufair from the pool area. We hope to be back at some point if not next year! Highly recommend.

Wonderful beach home

We had a fantastic time staying at this property. The owner was very attentive and the house was spotless when we arrived. The kids enjoyed paddle boating in the canal and especially loved swimming in the pool. The beach was a short walk away, but with 5 kids we ended up having one adult drop everyone at the beach entrance and then come back on one of the bikes that the owner made available to us (a very short ride, no more than 2-3 minutes). We had use of beach chairs, a wagon, toys, etc. all provided by the owner of the home. The beach at Sandbridge is beautiful and not very crowded. We saw lots of dolphins playing in the water and enjoyed going down to the beach after dark and watching the crabs scuttling around the beach. Virginia Beach activities such as the boardwalk, aquarium, lighthouses, etc. are all a 20-30 minute drive, so if you're looking for a touristy vacation then Sandbridge Beach may not be the right locale for you. If you are looking for a relaxing family vacation near the beach with the option of day trips to tourist spots then this home is perfect.

The Backyard steals the show

We had never been to Sandbridge before so we really didn’t know what to expect. We enjoyed this extremely peaceful neighborhood, but there really isn’t anything other than the beach that’s accessible by foot. The house worked well for 6 adults and a newborn … but I can’t imagine it being comfortable for 12 people as advertised. The backyard area is every bit as beautiful as pictured and we spent most of our time there. We appreciated all the beach chairs, wagons, bicycles, boats, pool toys and cornhole. Grill and outside fridge was a huge bonus as the kitchen workspace is limited. The house is extremely clean and well maintained. The owners take great pride in the house — including meeting for check in to show you around, and a mid-week pool check in (that could be a little awkward if you’re not expecting it as owner doesn’t announce himself). Also, be advised if you rent via VRBO, your pre-check-in welcome email may give the wrong check in time — when in doubt, check with owner as he does not welcome early arrivals.

Beautiful Home!! VERY attentive owners!!

This home is beautiful! It was very functional. We had 3 adults and 3 kids - ages 20, 16 & 13. The kids had their own space downstairs. There was plenty of things for the kids to do - fishing, biking, paddle boating, canoeing and of course swimming. The pool was huge compared to other pools in the area. It was hot when we stayed so it was nice to get out of the sun under the cabana but still be outside with the kids. Kevin was great! Gave us tour of home when we arrived. He was able to answer all our questions and give recommendations of where to eat and what to do. He made sure I had his cell number to contact him if we needed anything. On his suggestion we went to beach at night to search for crabs. It was amazing. Definitely need flashlight but awesome to see so many crabs on the beach. Beach was very short, quick walk. Beach was not crowded at all. We did not have an issue with bugs outside as some reviews previously mentioned. We even used the grill to cook and eat outside without any problems. There is a bug zapper but honestly we didn’t need it. It’s is quite clear that Kevin and his family take great pride in their beautiful home and care about their guests—you don’t get that personal attention from management companies. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting Sandbridge Beach. Quite honestly the house is perfect!! I wouldn’t change a thing!! If we vacation in that area again we will most definitely rent from Kevin again!! Thank you to Kevin and family for making this vacation house feel like home!!

Great spot!

Our first time at Sandbridge was so memorable and this property was perfect for our family (5 adults and 2 children ages 4 and 6) The beach is a short walk, not crowded in early June and Kevin had plenty of beach chairs and wagons supplied. The house is clean and comfortable. The outside space features several decks a generous backyard pool a shady cabana and a screened in porch for meals. We recommend it highly! Kevin was helpful and gracious including checking on mid week. Great spot!

A Fantastic Spot

We picked this spot because it had a pool, was on a canal with bay access and was close to the beach. We enjoyed the spot so much that some of us never made it to the beach! Great family space, immaculate and great hosts! Sadly, the house across the street from the Property burned down while we were there. Kevin was over that morning at 2:00 AM, hooked up a generator (as we had no power) and was back and cleaned up the ash and soot the next morning and washed all our cars. 10/10
