Love, Love, Love this place

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was clean and cheerful . The view of the beach was absolutely beautiful ! It felt as though you were standing directly on the beach , while you were actually on the balcony. The beach , indoor pool and outdoor pool were very close to the condo. That really helps to have these ares soo convenient. Especially with seniors or children. The restaurant that is there beside the outdoor pool .... is wonderful !! Food was great ... service great also. There prices were reasonable for a vacation location. But there were two issues with the condo.The owners notice informs you that the lowest temperature that you can set AC on ... is 72 degrees . ... to keep it from freezing up. The condo temperature in the living room would only cool down to 73 and 74 . But the master bedroom would cool to 72 . The metal beds in the smaller bedroom was a little noisy... probably could use some screws tightened .

Beautiful view, but...

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: While we loved our beautiful view of the ocean, getting onto the balcon was quite a challenge. The door was broken and extremely difficult to even open. I had to employ the help of my husband or adult sons in order to make my way onto the balcony to enjoy the view. We were there during rainy weather and also had a leaking roof. The living room/kitchen areas were quite warm and did not cool very well with the AC.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I think the main issue with unit was needed maintenance. I called the we arrived to report the outside handle missing from the sliding glass door which the Realty maintenance worker Buddy fixed. Other things needing updated include the drain in the master bath, the washer back flow ends up in the master bath sink, the master bath door rubs against the floor, there weren't remotes for every TV so you had to share, and I needed to wipe up the kitchen counters when I arrived. I think if these items were addressed it would make for a better experience. Loved the ocean view and the staff on-site were always busy at work.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I will start with the positives of this unit. The location of this rental is great. There were also several items in the rental that were useful (beach chairs, beach umbrella, etc.) The Salty Pickle is a bar located in the rental complex that is great. Good food, fun atmosphere, and very friendly people. The negatives of this unit were that it was not clean. We had to clean it ourselves to feel more comfortable staying. The air conditioning did not work well and the room was hot the whole time. The service person came to look at it and said that it was just basically worn out. The check in process was not clear. Be sure to go the the Garden City Realty office to get the key. They did not text us (as promised) when our room was ready. The individual making our reservation messed up and shorted us one night. We had to rent a room next door at Garden City Inn for the last night of our stay. On a positive note, Garden City Inn was very clean and very easy to work with. In summary, we loved the building and amenities provided, but would not stay in this particular unit again and would not recommend Garden City Realty for the booking.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I travel to Myrtle Beach 3 to 4 times every summer and this was by far the worst condo I’ve ever stayed in. The AC would not get below 74. Called maintenance numerous times to be told it was working and nothing more they would do without being charged to fix it. 1 if it was working why wouldn’t the temperature go down and 1 if working why charge me more to fix it? Depending on sofa bed to use for guests and it was broken. Unit outdated and filthy. Looked as if it had not had a deep cleaning in years. Broken appliances. Ceiling tiles in bathroom falling in shower/. I will never stay here again and I know the owners of the unit. We made so for the week because we didn’t have a choice. Unit is over priced for what it is and honestly we should be refunded over half what we paid. Elevators were slow . One of 3 worked all week. Terrible experience!

Balconies are at odd angles - you can look right into your neighbors to the south. Makes hanging on the balcony awkward if others are.3. Snack shop/Bar is a convenient plus on beach days.4. Indoor pool/Hot tub is a plus for cool days.5. Parking is good6. Room is a little dated & remodeled parts don’t look complete (cheap construction).

Cleanliness was subpar. Cockroach on kitchen counter the very first night. Maintenance came and sprayed. Something was biting me while sleeping and I got hives from it and had to get a cortisone shot. The master bathroom had a great shower, the other bathroom was smelly and had very low water pressure. Only one out of three elevators worked during our stay.

46th anniversary stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed in this unit in the past and alwaysloved it. This trip was not as enjoyable, can't really blame Garden City for the noise but there was so much construction going on in several of the units that it was not very relaxing. Bird poop on the porch wall and floor of the balcony was very unpleasant,a bottle of water on the light stopped the pigeons from roosting but still had a nasty balcony. All the rugs needed cleaning.

Wonderful family vacation

The only draw back for myself was the master bed made my back hurt. Would definitely stay again tho!!

Relaxing Retreat

Location was fantastic and we spent equal times on the beach and venturing in the area. Only issue we had was the master bath drained slowly and the mattresses could use updating. Otherwise, a great vacation.
