Tip Ellen on ylimielisesti nuhjuinen koti Pawleysin saarella ja hurrikaani Hugon perhe. Rakennettu rakkaudesta ja huolellisuudesta täm�� koti luo loistavan ympäristön kohtuuhintaiselle ja perhelomalle. Vain muutaman askeleen merelle, vieraat rakastavat kerätä laajakuva kuisti, jossa he kuulevat ja haju lämmin merituulet. Toukokuussa 2015 tämä koti oli uudistettu uudelleen sisälle ja ulos ..hardwood lattiat, graniitti työtaso ja ruostumattomasta teräksestä pesuallas keittiössä, tuore takki maali, uusi etupaneeli kuisti ja niin paljon muuta! Sisäll�� kodissa on kodikas oleskelu-, ruokailu- ja keittiöyhdistelmä, jossa on kaapeli-tv, mikroaaltouuni, ruokapöytä, mukavat istuimet ja paljon muuta. Jos vain kauniit oksaiset mäntyseinät voisivat puhua..hahmotellaan perheiden pelikortteja tai aterioita nauttivia tarinoita. Koti on neljä makuuhuonetta ja kaksi kylpyhuonetta. Vuodevaatteet ovat yksi kuningatar, kaksi tuplaa, yksi kahden hengen ja kaksi tuplaa. Lisäpalveluihin kuuluvat uudet vuodevaatteet, uudet laiskojen poikatuolit olohuoneessa, wifi, ilmastointi, pesukone / kuivausrumpu, katettu pysäk��intialue ja suljettu ulkosuihku, jossa on kuuma / kylmä vesi.

Quintessential Pawley’s

I love this house. It is everything I remember from my childhood at PI - wooden floors and walls, outside laundry and shower, screened porch, a few bugs, a little mildew. It is so close to beach access that it might as well be beachfront! The beds were super comfy. Highly recommend.

There is a nice outdoor shower with warm water and another toilet and washer/dryer beneath the house which came in handy with our large group. We were disappointed that there was very little storage and a small living room. Our group could not all sit together inside. We did see quite a few bugs as well. We did enjoy our stay and the screened porch was roomy.

Too Small

The listing says it will sleep 12, but we had 10 people & there was not enough room. We couldn't all eat together as a family because the table was set up for 4. We did pull in a few chairs but there were not 10 total chairs & we wouldn't have fit around the table even if we had 10 chairs. There just wasn't enough sitting for 10 people let alone 12. We did love that out was so close to the beach, but there was no place in the house to rest & relax for everyone. Shouldn't be listed for 12 people.

It appears that the owner never visits the house or just does not care for its current condition or desire to improve it. Bugs in one of the beds, appliances outdated, cabinets without doors. Table seats 4 when this house supposedly sleeps 12! Nicest thing I can say is that it had air conditioning and a roof.

It was not clean- except the fridge and oven were very clean, the rest was dirty. Doors missing from cabinets. The amenities were a proble- 3 bundt pans but not a single oven tray. There was a bag of dirty diapers hanging outside the back door upon arrival. I would not recommend staying here.

A Taste of Pawley’s Island history

Outshined and dwarfed by the newer, bigger, more modern houses, this home provides the experience of an “arrogantly shabby” island where casual and laid back were a way of life. In fact it’s kind of sad for those of us who experienced the old Pawley’s to see it so changed. The cabin is very small - 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, kitchen and television area in less than 1000 square ft. Still it was adequate for 8 of us. The outdoor shower and huge screen porch made the space seem much larger. The only thing that would have made the screen porch better would have been a view of the ocean, but we were not expecting a view. Short walk to beach and mostly quiet street. Never saw a bug in or around the home. It would benefit greatly from new fridge and stove with a working light and exhaust fan and electrical outlets in the 2nd bathroom. Some of the furniture has been updated and others could use an update. The bathrooms were clean and convenient. The A/C worked well. We thoroughly enjoyed our week, but we think it would not work well for more than 7 or 8 people. The beach is beautiful and we rented a golf cart for riding around the island. It was a fun week

Don't believe the 4.6 star rating

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The reviews of this place make me question how valid the customer review system is. First the good - the AC is cold, and the porch is nice. That's it - that's the list. We've been going to Pawleys for 20+ years, and this is easily the most disappointed I've been with a rental. I've never actually written a bad review until now. You expect some roaches at the beach. But this was an infestation. Several beds were borderline unusable (broken box springs?) The property description claimed total renovation of interior - at best that's misleading, at worst just a lie. The porch was best part of the house, and while a couple hundred dollars in furniture would have given a nice sitting area there, instead you've just got a few cracked plastic chairs. Garbage disposal was broken on arrival - not a big deal but was told a work order would be generated and someone would be out to fix it - didn't happen over 4 days. I won't get into the details of dealing with Tidelife, whose customer service is far worse than the condition of this property, except to say there are plenty other vacation property management companies that homeowners and renters in this area would be better off doing business with.

Good location but....

We have been staying at Pawleys Island for over 30 years now and although we were expecting a more traditional Pawleys house, this was a bit more on the shabby side than we anticipated. The house has all of its original charm but it also has windows that won't stay open if they even open and don't have screens if you can get them to stay open-not ideal when you want to get the fresh ocean air and hear the waves. The kitchen was not very functional with no light over the stove to cook by, a rusted and broken fridge, and seriously under equipped cooking utensils, pots, and pans. We rent a house specifically to be able to cook at the house and it was not easy here. The beds were said to have been replaced recently but I can assure you they are not new mattresses-the bed I slept in specifically had a massive dip right in the middle. The house in general was just dark and not what you would hope for when renting at the beach. That being said-the location is great-it really is about a 1 minute walk to the beach. We had zero issue with bugs as a previous review had stated. The screened in porch is large and the rocking chairs is where we spent all our time other than the beach as the living space inside is pretty tight. Overall this could be a super great beach house rental but I feel that the property owners need to actually invest in some basic comforts that someone would expect when renting a home at Pawleys Island.

Calm before the storm.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have a successful Holiday Lighting Company. I work more in the fourth quarter of the year than the rest combined. I went to the beach to rest up and prepare for the season that lies ahead. The stay was fantastic! The house is great, and the beach access is only 3 houses down the street. The beach is public, but not overcrowded. Pawley's Island is a great choice for a getaway no matter the length of the stay.

Two weeks with Tip Ellen with several family members and friends.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the second year we have stayed in this house with the property management being Tidelife. Tidelife has been great to work with and they will jump right on any problem you might have. This house is named Tip Ellen and it was built in 1956, which means it has weathered a number of storms and survived them all. We love the older houses as they have a lot of character. The house was clean and they had upgraded several chairs in the living area and also on the porch. The location of the house is great, bing on second row and 5 minutes to the beach. We have recommended the house to at least 6 other couples.
