La Roche lepää kauniissa eteläisen Dordognen maaseudulla Bergeracin ja Eymetin rauhallisen keskiaikaisen bastidin välissä. 1 hehtaarin puutarha sisältää 12x6m: n yksityisen uima-altaan sukellussyvyydellä. Taloon kuuluu vielä 9 hehtaaria, ja ulkopuolella on peltoja. Valkoinen kivi maalaistalo on peräisin vuodelta 1860, ja se on palautettu sympaattisesti ja tyylikkäästi ylellisyyttä tasolle säilyttäen paljaat palkit ja kivityöt sekä muut perinteiset piirteet.
Alakerrassa: sisääntuloaula, josta näkymä ylemmälle tasolle; Keittiössä käsintehtyjä kalkitettuja tammilaitteita, liesi, uuni, mikroaaltouuni, jääkaappi / pakastin, astianpesukone, pesukone ja kuivausrumpu; lounge; 3. makuuhuone; WC; Kylpyhuone kulma-ammeella ja suihkulla.

Lovely countryside stay
We booked this stay initially in 2020 and so glad we could finally make it. The house is located on a small rural road, country side is very agricultural. The house itself is pretty big, in very good condition apart from bathroom downstairs everything has been updated. There is a wonderful lounge on second floor with TV and AC. Both bedrooms upstairs have AC. Shutters closed make rooms very dark to sleep.Wonderful swimming pool,very clean. No complaiints, apart from slow Internet which sometimes fails and many flies and mosquitoes at the time of our stay which we found difficult to control when windows and doors are open. We enjoyed our stay in this area with a lot of villages to explore and drivable distance to Bordeaux city, although you’ll have to stay overnight. We would recommend this house without reservation! Owners were easy to deal with, although we found driving instructions very confusing and you can easily find it on google maps.

Lovely property
Beautiful property, lovely and clean. Particularly loved the upstairs en-suite bedrooms with plenty of storage and the upstairs lounge area very comfy, plus the air conditioning was a godsend. Great pool, very clean, the only downsides, if I had to be picky, the grounds could do with being fenced off as the cars do come speeding down the road in front of the property and the pebbly area around the pool might be more comfortable with fake grass.

This is a nice villa with a lovely pool.. On the downside… kitchen cupboards are full of the owners food. There is recording CCTV cameras all around the outside of the property…which was not stated in the listing, we go to villas for privacy.

Just what we all needed.
Our stay was just what we needed. It had been a few years since all of my family were able to get away on holiday and this villa and location was just perfect. The peace and tranquillity of La Roche was amazing and the facilities enhanced our stay. We would love to return at a later date.

Perfect Getaway
The house is perfect as a home from home. The location is private, set in the countryside surrounded by vineyards and Sunflower fields. Only a short drive away is the beautiful town of Eymet and also Bergerac. The house has lots of space and the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need for meal preparation. There are two living rooms, one upstairs, one downstairs! There is air conditioning in the upstairs bedrooms and living room. The pool is well maintained and has a beautiful outlook being at the rear of the property. The pool also illuminated by underwater LED lights and really is perfect for a family holiday. Communication with the owners and the House Manager was excellent. We would definitely consider retuning to this wonderful house.

Très bonne location
Charmante location pour avoir tout à fait la paix et le soulagement pendant des vacances. Très bonnes chambres pour passer des nuits agréables. La cuisine un peu trop ‘à la française’😏… beaucoup de matériel dispersé dans tous les casiers et nécessité quand même de renouveler un peu ce matériel pour cuisiner convenablement surtout pour toute une famille. Mais pour le reste pas de remarques. Bon contact aussi avec les propriétaires même à distance

Grande maison bien équipée au calme
Très grande maison avec aménagement de très bonne qualité Nous avons passé un très bon séjour. L'équipement de la cuisine est très bien. Les chambres doubles avec Sdb sont parfaites. La piscine est très grande. Un aménagement avec terrasse et carrelage autour de la piscine serait un vrai plus. Campagne alentour très reposante. Beaucoup de villages a visiter. Nous sommes ravis de notre séjour en Dordogne

First trip to the Dordogne
Overall a very enjoyable experience. Accommodations were extremely comfortable. The bathrooms were exemplary. The pool was delightful. The only improvements we would suggest would be better knives for food preparation as we mainly cooked dinners at home and screens on the windows which would allow one to take advantage of the fresh air without inviting in insects.

Wonderful holiday in a perfect location
We all had a great holiday, the location is spectacular with lots of great chateau's to visit and local medieval towns. Plus the added bonus of a wonderful walk through french countryside from the doorstep. The owners were excellent and great with communication for both booking the holiday and information regarding our trip. The children loved it, the dogs had a ball and adults enjoyed it even more! A wonderful holiday for all.

Great for a peaceful family getaway.
The property seems to improve each time we come out to stay - the latest addition being air conditioning - very useful for sleeping as it was very warm when we stayed! WiFi, TV and pool ensure the kids are happy. A well equipped kitchen makes preparing meals easy. Lovely area, with so much character and plenty to see and do. Or just lounge by the pool and enjoy the quiet...!!

A perfect get away from it all, holiday
The house is simply wonderful with everything you need to make your stay perfect. Situated within easy reach of many lovely villages around the Dordogne region, it made an ideal base. Our dog, Poppy just loved the large garden which she played in from the day we arrived to the day we left. We would definitely recommend this lovely house to anyone thinking of visiting this area of France.

Lovely countryside retreat.
It was wonderful to visit La Roche again and to see the amazing new upstairs accommodation. It's all been beautifully done and was much appreciated. We've always loved La Roche; the pool is brilliant and we love the quiet and doing our rounds of the local markets! As ever, we hope to return! Many thanks for making such a lovely place available.

We had a great time at La Roche highly recommended
We stayed at La Roche for two weeks in July 2017 and had a fantastic time. La Roche is a lovely old French stone farmhouse set in a rural, quiet location. It has been brought up to date in a sympathetic way as not to spoil the character of the building which we felt was very well done. The super king size beds and en suites were better than any hotel I have stayed in. The pool is a great size and keep in top condition by Jerry who calls twice a week between 9 and 10am. If you enjoy birds of prey La Roche is a great place to stay. I must mention the local Boulangere at Singleyrac it does fantastic cakes and bread which we really enjoyed. For eating out the old square at Eymet has plenty of restaurants in lovely surroundings.

Fantastic location
The house is very comfortable and well equipped. We had a really good time relaxing and using the lovely pool. It is secluded and peaceful but within reach of many pretty villages and towns. The house was well cleaned for our arrival and the new loft conversion is amazing. It's a great area for cycling too. Thank you very much, we hope to return one day.

Great family holiday
We had our first experience of the newly extended and renovated La Roche during the summer and we can only describe our time there as fantastic. The upstairs now has two big en-suite bedrooms (both used with the travel cots provided) and a lounge area which is great for spending the evening (if not around the BBQ). The finish is of very high quality and extremely comfortable, and the outside pool area was enjoyed greatly by the kids. La Roche is private and secluded, but close enough to the local amenities to make a wonderful stay for the whole family. Can't wait to return again next year!

What can we say that best describes La Roche; private location, beautiful setting and surroundings, peaceful and tranquil, wildlife and yet at the same time all the amenities and restaurants one needs for a perfect family holiday just a short drive away in Eymet. This was our second holiday to La Roche and this time we saw the magnificent renovation the owners have worked so hard to achieve. As we walked through the front door we had no idea of the 'wow' factor when we discovered upstairs. There is also a welcoming family size pool with several sun loungers provided. We can't wait to return next year.

An idyllic holiday home from home
We have visited this property 4 times already and simply love the tranquillity and comfort of the place. The recent renovations are absolutely stunning and seamlessly team traditional and modern decor. We fell in love with France in the early 1990s, when work brought us to live here for a while. After moving back to the UK, we spent lots of holidays in France with our children ... and then in 2000 we found La Roche, and fell in love with that, too.

You can sit in the garden and see nothing but the open fields and trees that surround the house; it's the most peaceful and relaxing place we know. And it might sound odd, but one of the things we absolutely love about La Roche is sitting safe and dry under the porch on a beautifully warm summer's evening and watching the rain! We know from guests' comments that we're not alone in this....
