About the home
“23KC” is a delightful double-storey family home in Cowes just a short drive or comfortable walk from the beach and supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
Downstairs is the large open plan Kitchen/Dining/Living Room (with 65" TV, Fire Stick & stereo) that provides access to Bedrooms 1, 2 and 3 (each with BIR), a Bathroom (with bath & shower), a separate Toilet and a fully equipped Laundry (with washing machine, clothes dryer & bar fridge).
Upstairs is the enormous open plan Lounge/Family Room (with Table tennis table, 46" TV, Fire Stick & stereo), that provides access out the the rear Deck, Bedroom 4 and a Bathroom (with shower & toilet).
Outdoor Areas
The upstairs Deck (with 2 sun lounges) overlooks the fully enclosed rear yard which is perfect for children and dogs alike (absolutely no cats please due to allergies). The rear yard also features a covered BBQ gazebo (with Weber Family Q gas BBQ & sofa seating for 6) and the covered rear Dining Area (under the 1st Floor Deck) has a 6-8 seater dining table. There is space for up to 3 cars in the long driveway.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Aldi Pod coffee machine and a Breville espresso machine, 4-slice toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge (plus a bar fridge in the Laundry), dishwasher, electric oven and induction cook top.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There is a wall mounted reverse cycle air conditioner in each of the downstairs Living Room and upstairs Lounge room, ceiling fans in all 4 bedrooms plus 2 ceiling fans in each of the downstairs Living Room & upstairs Lounge Room, and three additional stand-alone heaters and one fan which can be used where required.
Bedding Configuration
This home has 10 beds, accommodating up to 14 guests:
Bedroom 1 (Downstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 2 (Downstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 3 (Downstairs): One Double bed
Bedroom 4 (Upstairs): One Tri bunk and one set of Single bunks
Lounge (Upstairs): One set of Single bunks and one Single bed
Please note: The Tri-bunk has a double bed base with a single bed above it.
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies.
