Beautiful country! Lovely apt. Enjoy!

This apt was a great fit for us, my husband, myself and our adult son. Very roomy and lots of light. The location is perfect, you can walk to restaurants, shops and tourist areas. We had a little bit of trouble obtaining the key at the Bus Station but, the owner is very quick to communicate and had someone assisting us in minutes. The only negative was the mattress in the master bedroom, it was quite uncomfortable for us and we did mention this to the owner. There is a convenient parking garage under the apt but, know you will be paying. Its very easy using the Parka app. You will need Parka to pay at the lots while touring around Iceland, and, make sure you pay!! Even at Kronan grocery store (we missed that one). The tickets for failure to pay are pricey. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! What a beautiful country! and g

New Years in Reykjavik

This was a a great apartment in an ideal location. It was within walking distance of the whole downtown area. Lots of shops, cafes, and dining options. We loved walking around. The apartment was just as advertised, well stocked, and we had excellent communication with the owner. Would whole heartedly recommend it.

(Not cheap but) good choice with a few peculiarities

Best location, spacious apartment and well equipped, even if not every light and heating worked. In chat communication, a representative (in Dubai, it seemed) of the host responds very quickly and is always available. IMPORTANT NOTE: the offer description briefly suggested (to us at least) that there was a free parking space in the underground garage below the apartment. This assumption was wrong. In fact, it is by far the most expensive way to park a car in Reykjavík. And it's expensive everywhere in the city and complicatedly divided into parking zones that are difficult to recognize. So before you park a car in Reykjavík, you need to study the parking system in detail. And if you care about money, you shouldn't let yourself be lured into the parking garage under your apartment. Another peculiarity: EVERY evening at half past seven, the contact person sends a message to behave very quietly in the apartment from 8pm. This can feel a bit patronizing. Obviously there is a neuralgic situation between the vacation apartment business and the tenants in the neighborhood who actually live there at a high price. But again, all in all it was very comfortable and good :)
