It has a charm and character that reflects the warmth of the Italian people and the the local Medieval village. Built in the 17th century, the house maintains it's charm and character, whilst modern appliances compliment the well being of of staying here.
Chianni is a medieval town with Etruscan origins. The village has two café/bars, a mini-markets, a flower shop and a small hardware store. The Tabacchi sells a variety of goods, the post office is open until 13.45 pm Monday – Saturday. A gift shop, a pasta shop selling delicious handmade pasta, along with a cash point is located near to the tourist information office. The village has three good restaurants, with many others a short drive away.
Pisa and Firenze are 40 and 50 km away respectively, as well as the historical town of Voltera, San Gimignano, Siena, Lucca and Lajatico. Beaches are around 30 - 40 minutes drive away. Marina Di Bibbona - 50 km (27 miles), Rosignano Solway (A great beach as is Vada, close by) - 30 km (20 miles), San Vincenzo – 63 km (39 miles) and Viareggio – 75 km (46 Miles).
A local bus service connects with the nearest main line railway station in Pontedera (22 km away) from which most Italian towns and cities can be reached.
N.B. There are six steps to reach the front door of the house from the Piazza. The bedrooms are accessed via an internal staircase
