Love this rental!!

Husband, 2 dogs and I have been there twice and we loved it!! Cannot beat the location just 2 blocks from the beach. Owner is very accommodating, property is secluded and quite. Would definitely recommend! Very Dog friendly too !

All we needed for our vacation

Very clean. Great fenced yard for pets. House well equipped for your stay. Host very responsive. Nice friendly neighbors. Convenient to beach. Highly recommend. Will return.

Pet paradise

Bow Wow Bungalow is a pet and pet owner’s dream for a vacation rental. Such wonderful fenced areas for our dog to roam, and he loved it. House is very nice and very comfortable with a couple of different outdoor areas where you can enjoy the morning, or the Forgotten Coast’s amazing sunsets. Great location, only two blocks to a wonderful, not crowded, dog friendly beach. Some great places to eat nearby. Also Susie, the owner was a very gracious host, and very easy to communicate with and answer any questions. We will be back during the coming year. Thanks for a great place to spend Christmas and New Years.

Perfect if your dog’s comfortability is more important than yours!

Overall, the property was great if you travel with your furry friends. However, I found it very challenging not to have a washer and dryer with our pups going to the beach everyday and me trying to dry them and having dirty towels. Also, for what the property costs I think you receive a terrible nights sleep due to the bed and mattress being such a poor quality. Make sure to iron your clothes before you come too because an iron and ironing board is not included. I also recommend renting a golf cart if you travel to the beach a lot because the house is about three blocks back from the beach.

Loved the Bow Wow Bungalow!

The Bow Wow Bungalow was incredible! Very clean and so comfy. My two pups enjoyed the huge, fenced-in yard and I loved relaxing on the spacious porch. My doggies and I will definitely come back. Thanks Susie & Diane!

Nice place but not able to respond to urgent facility needs

We had a great time and enjoyed our stay until the last two days. The air conditioner went out. As it was a Saturday morning, the owner said could not get anyone in to fix it until Monday. She shared with us where we could get a couple of fans from another part of her property. We used fans and opened the windows for the next two days (only half of them could be opened). The next day, our bulldog had a heat stroke. As it was a Sunday and we were out of town, we struggled to find an emergency vet. We found one in Panama City, 45 minutes away, plus time to get a large bull dog down the steps. As he could not be revived, he was euthanized. When we checked out Monday morning, the HVAC repair person came by to replace the faulty part on the AC. We were reimbursed $125 for the inconvenience.

Cozy place near beach that is pet focused

Great fenced in property to let the dogs run. Little confusing at first what all is available for dogs to run on but once figured out, they had a blast. Older screened in porch but comfortable with fan and light in it. Front porch is relaxing as well(just was too hot this stay to make use of it.) Kitchen is small but has all the basics you need to make meals. Owner provides plenty of spices and we were happy to find a quesadilla maker which came in handy. Dining seats four comfortably. Dog bed in living room. We also brought our own. Couch is comfy but probably needing replaced soon. Main bedroom mattress was deceiving. Not the best yet my wife and I had good quality sleep according to our sleep tracking on watches. Kids had no issues with bunk bed room and slept well in there as well. Overall a quaint property and well worth it for dogs to roam and for being close to beach. Owner was responsive and answered any questions we had. Shopping and Restraurants are sparse in area. Dollar general down the road and a dollar general grocery and piggly wiggly further into Port St Joe. Crazy beach pizza is good but can be busy. Order ahead. Peppers Mexican is good as well. Our favorite stop is always St Joe Shrimp Company on Cape San Blas. Serving up fresh caught lunches everyday but Saturday.

Nice cozy place, short walk to beach

We enjoyed our stay. The house was nice, with room for my wife and me, our two kids, and two schnauzers. It is a 2 block walk to the beach on a flat, paved street. The neighborhood is quiet and people were friendly. The beach is clean with beautiful white sand, and it is dog friendly! Our dogs really enjoyed the fenced yard and the freedom to go outside and explore. As stated in the description, there is no wifi, and we knew this going in. Cell signal there was good enough to make calls and get online. It was actually a nice break from technology for our kids, and they were enjoying being outside and on the beach (and off their phones) Overall, it was a nice time and we enjoyed it very much.

Bow Wow Review

WiFi would be a real plus, we use a WiFi camera to monitor our dog so without WiFi we did not leave our dog alone. Access to a broom and dust pan or a vacuum cleaner would have been nice for keeping the place clean. We loved the porches but they needed to be cleaned due to the dust and pollen accumulation.

Good location, home in need of upkeep

My wife and I stayed here during an extended weekend with our dog. Enjoyed the location in a neighborhood just two easy blocks to the beach, an easy walk. Good area to walk our dog and easy parking. The home had plenty of room, but is in need of some repair/upkeep. The primary screen door was completely off track and couldn't be reattached by me. The outside door to the screen porch had broken hinges, so we didn't even try using. The light was out in the bathroom, luckily I found a replacement bulb and fixed myself. No WiFi and cellular service spotty if storms around.

Perfect for our dogs.

This bungalow was perfect for our dogs. Plenty of room for pets to roam safely in the fenced yard. We enjoyed all the different outdoor spaces. Kitchen is well equipped, bed comfortable. Short walk to beach. Very easy communication with owner. Would stay here again.

Quiet and close to beach.

House is older but everything works. Air conditioner was broken our first night there but the owner was extremely quick to get it fixed and refunded the first night's stay. It's obvious she wants you to enjoy your stay.

My fur-babies’ favorite vacation spot!

This was our first trip to the St Joe/Mexico Beach area and we will definitely be back! My dogs are road dogs and love to travel with the family but aren’t always welcome, especially my Giant (Cane Corso Mastiff). The dog-friendly beach compelled us to look in the area, but the Bow-Wow Bungalow sealed the deal. We enjoyed the privacy, short walk to the beach and the fenced in yard. The dogs made themselves at home right away and it was so nice to vacation with the dogs without worrying. They were able to join us almost everywhere we went! Thanks for making us and our pups feel so welcome! We will definitely be back!!

So quiet and peaceful. Just 2 blocks to the beach!

Exactly as pictured and described. Perfect yard for the dogs. Very clean and great location. The dogs loved going to the beach with us.

Panama City is about a 30-minute drive. Apalachicola is known for its oysters and is about a 30-minute scenic drive. St. Andrews is an eclectic area known for its quaint shops. Usually you will not find a lot of rowdy children/teenagers on the beach. Located on a 1/2 acre, fenced-in lot.
