Summary:
Clifton End will delight families, friends or couples seeking a cosy seaside escape. Mirroring the coastal panoramas of nearby Deal beach less than a minute’s walk away, ultra-cosy furnishings in shades of inky blues provide a sophisticated space to kick back and relax in style.
The Space:
Clifton End will be your home from home after memorable days spent at the nearby beach taking in the fresh sea air; exploring Deal’s old town; immersing yourself in England’s history in any of the 3 English Heritage castles nearby, including Deal Castle, located at the end of the road. After a day’s adventures, snuggle into the deep velvet sofa with a favourite film and drink cocoa next to the wood burning stove.
The kitchen is compact but well equipped for cooking and has everything you’ll need to prepare a delicious meal. Fish lovers and foodies will want to visit Jenkins & Son, where you can buy fresh local fish such as Dover Sole and Seabass, or The Black Pig, local artisan butcher and winner of the ‘Young British Foodie Awards’ in 2020 and BBC Food Producer of the Year in 2021. If you want a break from cooking, then Deal has many restaurants to choose from including the award-winning Frog and Scot as well as traditional fish ‘n chip shops and many other independent eateries.
Heading upstairs from the open plan living area, both bedrooms sit on the first floor next to a separate study for those choosing to work from home.
In 2020 Deal was voted the ‘best place to live in the UK’ by the Sunday Times and there’s good reason for it! In their own words, it is a “stylish seaside spot away from the gaze of the week-ending masses” The Times.
