Crikvenica is one of the most scenic parts of the Adriatic coast, where the sea and the green plains of the Vinodol valley meet, in an area known for its national parks, luscious green plains and endless stretches of beaches with private coves and majestic islands.
Crikvenica has a bustling, historic centre, a fascinating aquarium and an intriguing museum full of artefacts of the region. The summertime brings events, open-air music concerts and festivals, including the renowned Fishermen’s Festival.
For keen hikers, the “love road” is a beautiful hike past an old fort, with the full path being a 3-hour long hiking trail in stunningly unspoilt nature.
The coastal stretch around Crikvenica is ideal for watersports, from diving to snorkelling to sea kayaking and parasailing, while boat trips to the nearby islands of Krk, Cres and Rab in the Kvarner Gulf make for fascinating day trips, each island with its own distinct characteristics and landscapes.
This region is also famous for the Plitvice Lakes National Park and its, no less than, 16 spectacular lakes. The lakes are connected by stunning waterfalls and cascades. Yes. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
