Just what we needed. My family had a great time.
We have just returned home from a lovely 10 days in Vidauban. We were a couple with two children (aged 9 & 12) and the accommodation suited us perfectly. The property is attached to the main house that the owners live in. The owners were discrete and offered the maximum privacy whilst still living on-site. They were extremely helpful and went out of their way to ensure we had a relaxing time. The accommodation is clean and simply furnished with modern appliances The pool, whilst not heated, is well maintained and was a lovely 31C whilst we were there. The property benefits from air conditioning which, in the middle of the August heat, was very welcome. The owner only speaks French so you'll need at least ‘holiday’ French levels to get by. As a keen amateur photographer I was happy to accept an invitation from the owner to spend an hour taking on some of the local sites. This gave an ‘insider’s view to the area. The owners were also happy to advise on which markets were on in the various towns in the vicinity as well as other things we may want to do during excursions to the beaches and St Tropez etc. Our children loved playing with the two friendly dogs on-site but, if you or any of your party have a problem with dogs, then this may not be the property for you. There were also a few cats about but they mostly lazed in the August heat. The owner has some chickens but no cockerel to wake you up. The property is really on the outskirts of Vidauban so you must have a car. We enjoyed our time at the property and would have no reservations about visiting again.
