Cahors, 40 minutes, it is the regional centre, built on a narrow peninsula formed by a meander in the river Lot, an attractive town with all shops and hypermarkets.

In the heart of the Cahors wine region, where numerous local vineyards offer the chance to visit, taste and purchase locally made wine, you can even take a Citroen 2CV wine tour in Puy l’Eveque. There are numerous pretty towns to visit including Puy-l'Évêque, Belaye, Albas, Saint-Cirq-Lapopie and Rocamadour, Famous markets take place in nearby Prayssac, Montcuq, Cahors and Sarlat where you can enjoy the sights and sounds, and discover tasty local produce or just soak up the atmosphere.

There are many interesting places to visit; the spectacular Chateau de Bonaguil (25 minutes), the 13th/14th century bastide towns of Monflanquin (30 mins) and Montpazier (40 mins) Saint-Cirq-Lapopie (75 mins) a pretty medieval village on a steep hillside above the river Lot.
