Boasting uninterrupted sea views from its waterfront location in Marina, close to Trogir and Split airport, Villa Ljubo is an excellent pick for large groups of guests. It sleeps ten guests in five bedrooms and offers very generous entertainment spaces. It is just a few metres from the sea and perfect for guests that enjoy seclusion and tranquillity. Serenity is the name of the game, and the sunrise sea views are spectacular. The villa enjoys an elegant blend of vintage and modern furnishings. It is bright and airy throughout.

The village of Marina is dominated by a picturesque fort, a former summer house of Trogir bishops from the 15th century. This has now been restored and made into an attractive hotel. The little harbour of Marina is quaint, and fishing has remained important to the village. There are one hundred and twenty berths. There are fabulous sand and pebble beaches with lovely pine and olive trees providing shade, a wonderful array of watersports and several restaurants serving delicious recently caught fish and excellent local wines. Nothing is better than being front line to a beach with sensational views. From this idyllic location, you can walk to the beach, restaurants, and shops. Just in front of the villa is a stoney beach with sunbathing platforms, and two hundred metres away is a pretty pebble beach.
 
The ground floor of Villa Ljubo has an open-plan living space, a sauna and a shower room. Two bedrooms sit on the first floor, with ensuite bathrooms, balcony access and brilliant sea vistas. In addition, there is a small, well-equipped gym for those that want to keep up their fitness levels. The second floor has three bedrooms, two of which enjoy ensuite bathrooms, balconies and sea views.
 
The living space is attractive, with a modern, fairly compact kitchen in one corner, modern and vintage sofas, a large dining table and upholstered chairs, an eclectic mix of vibrant artwork and a television. Two sets of doors open to the terrace, pool and garden. The sauna is a beautiful treat, perfect for some me time.
 
Both bedrooms on the first floor enjoy intricately carved vintage beds adorned with luxury linens and gorgeous soft furnishings. The tiled floors are lovely and cool in the hot months. Doors open from both rooms to a balcony where you will enjoy spectacular sea views. The traditionally styled ensuite bathrooms enjoy warm terracotta and cream tiles. The upper bedrooms are equally delightful, with gorgeous headboards, lux linens and charm in abundance. Although one of the bedrooms does not have a balcony or sea view, it still offers a Juliet balcony and lovely green vistas.
 
The magic really happens outside. The infinity pool is superb, surrounded by loungers and comfortable outdoor lounge furniture. There are palms and other trees adding some green to your very blue picture. It is a dreamy spot where you will feel the tranquillity fold around you as you relax in absolute peace and quiet. The expansive sea panorama will entice your gaze for sure. In addition, there is a superb built in barbecue where your barbecue masters can cook a feast which you can enjoy alfresco.

Location:

Villa Ljubo enjoys a wonderful beachfront location in Marina, a charming fishing village. Just a little further out onto the peninsular from Marina is Vinisce. It is another small, charming fishing village with a beautiful cove, lovely beach, markets, bakeries, restaurants, cafés, bars and a small harbour for fishing boats. The people of Vinisce are very friendly and organise summer festivals where you can sample homemade specialities and wines. Vinisce is a lovely spot for a glass of wine on the harbourside.
 
Continuing north around the coast, Rogoznica is a popular tourist destination on a peninsula once a small island, Koper. Rogoznica enjoys a beautiful marina, Marina Frapa, with luxury yachts bobbing around and many cafes, restaurants, a sports centre, swimming pools and nightclubs. You will have no trouble finding a quiet spot on one of the many beaches. The Dragon’s Eye is a salt lake close by.
 
Trogir is a Croatian gem enjoying intricate medieval architecture, two yacht marinas, tightly clustered, attractive, historic streets, great beaches, waterside dining, a superb, landscaped promenade to wander along and a busy market. You will discover local honey, wines, olive oils and plenty of grappa amid the huge piles of bright red tomatoes and melons. The Cipiko Palace and St. Lawrence Cathedral are worth getting your camera out for. Ciovo Island is connected to the town of Trogir by a bridge. It has lovely beaches including Okrug Gornji, Okrug Donji, Slatine and Kava. Trogir Diving Centre visits thirty sites, nearly half around the nearby island of Solta. The abundant coral and sponges offer a rich diversity of flora and fauna to explore, along with conger eels, octopuses and lobsters.
 
Split is a very attractive seafront gem combining honeycombs of intricate historical buildings, including the wonderful Diocletian’s Palace, with a cosmopolitan, palm-sprinkled promenade offering tourists a fabulous vibrant holiday experience. The town’s atmospheric, narrow streets are brimming with ancient monuments, charming restaurants, cafes, bars and a good variety of shops. Split oozes a laid-back vibe. The main city beach, Bacvice, is both a perfect place to relax during the day and a popular night-time jaunt in the evening. You can easily take trips to the stunning islands of Hvar, Vis and Brac from Split. Popular with the rich and famous, Hvar is glitzy and boasts a marina full of luxury yachts. Brac is beautiful and home to the famous Zlatni Rat Beach at Bol, which adorns most Croatian holiday posters. Vis is a gorgeous, remote, craggy island with a laid-back rural vibe.
 
You may also want to visit the wonderful town of Omis, known as the City of Pirates. It is situated at the mouth of the Cetina River and is home to many churches, the 13th century Fortress Mirabella and the 15th century Fortress Starigrad. The town is known for its delicious gastronomy and boasts outstanding restaurants serving fresh, locally caught fish and smoked ham. Shopping is excellent in Omis. The town’s Klapa Festival during the summer is good fun with capella singing in churches and squares in the old town, plus there are some amusing pirate displays.
 
Flowing from the Dinara mountains, the Cetina River is action-packed with an awesome zipline, canyoning, river tubing, rafting and kayaking. You can even rent see-through kayaks so that you can explore the flora and fauna when you are paddling down the river. Thrilling rafting takes place in the northern part of the river, where there are exciting rapids and challenging waterfalls to descend. White water rafting takes place in a section of 10km starting north of Kuciceand passes one of the prettiest beaches, Stuzica. The rafting ends in the village of Blato na Cetini, which is a great lunch stop. Canyoning is not for the faint hearted! Expert guides will help adventurous guests plunge into newly discovered rocky areas and clear waters, swim underneath powerful waterfalls, flow down naturally formed chutes and jump into emerald pools. The very bravest can abseil down the fifty six metre high Gubavica waterfall, providing the most exhilarating and unforgettable experience. Paragliding is also very popular, with instructors taking younger visitors on tandem flights.
