The castle, which has a sea view, has a stunning formal garden that was modelled after the splendour of Versailles in France. Along with playing at the renowned Royal Dornoch Golf Club, golfers may also enjoy a round at nearby facilities at Bonar Bridge, Golspie, and Ullapool. The West, North, and East coasts can all be reached easily from Lairg, which also offers breathtaking landscape in every direction. Ben Hope, the most northerly Munro, and the well-known peaks Suilven, Arkle, and Foinavon are all accessible to walkers.
