Fern Cottage is a large, light, 3 bedroomed holiday cottage sleeping up to 5 people.
In decorating the cottage we have retained all the lovely oak beams and given it a modern twist.
A perfect holiday base for touring the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales.
Located 200 meters from the all-important village pub, there are excellent walking and cycling in the area with Lake Ullswater 7 miles; Keswick 20 miles; Penrith and shops 6 miles.

The well-equipped kitchen we hope has everything you need for cooking and a dishwasher to help you clear up afterwards. There is also a washing machine/tumble dryer and a dining table to seat up to 5 people.
**LIVING ROOM**
Slow down and stretch out on our comfy sofa in the living room which also features a leather armchair and squishy occasional chair.
There is also an open wood-burning fireplace for those winter months. If you still need to get work done, there is a quiet corner that includes a desk and work chair, making it the perfect spot to work (and gaze out into the garden).
**CONSERVATORY**
In warmer months the conservatory is the place to relax, read a book and forget the stresses of everyday life.
**GARDEN**
The conservatory opens out onto a very pretty, and secluded cottage garden.
Guest access
Overlooking the village green, the cottage is situated in the sought-after rural village community of Great Strickland, which has on a number of occasions, won the title of Eden’s Best Kept Village.
Call us biased but it's got one of the best outlooks of the village from the old signpost, the red phone box, the village green with the ducks waddling around, to the views of the fields! It is actually as idyllic as it sounds.
**PARKING**
There is space for off-road car parking around the back of the property with all information being covered within the welcome pack which will be sent before arrival.
