Situated adjacent to the owner, located in the centre of Talgarth market town, with an abundance of shops, public houses and places to eat all within walking distance.
The cottage itself has thick walls and beams throughout, and the lounge boasts an inglenook fireplace and wood-burning stove, a great and cosy social space for those chillier evenings. Open the windows and listen to the river Ennig flowing through the town.
There are plenty of places of interest in the area. Visit the restored Talgarth Mill, which is located a few yards from Cobble Cottage, where daily tours take place, and you can even sample some of the delights baked on sight. For those seeking wildlife and water, visit the Pwll-y-Wrach Nature Reserve, which has nice and easy walks to the waterfalls.
Cobbles cottage is 9 miles from the historic market town of Brecon, with its abundance of coffee shops and historic places to visit, such as the Royal Welsh Museum and Brecon Cathedral, take a walk along the Monmouthshire canal or even a barge ride! The property is also 8 miles from the famous literary town of Hay-on-Wye which holds the fabulous Hay Festival every year and has some lovely quaint book shops and patisseries.
Cardiff and Swansea are roughly an hour’s drive from the property and offer fun-filled days out. This is a fabulous base for those wanting to explore the area whether it be on foot or by bicycle. For the more adventurous why not take a walk-up Pen y Fan? Enjoy the highest peak in South Wales and take in the stunning scenery.
