Beautiful Cabin

Our stay at Karen’s Cabin was excellent. We found it clean, all the amenities a person would want, comfortable beds with lots of bedding, towels etc. The Cabin is very nicely laid out and the surroundings are beautiful.Karen was a great host and we look forward to renting from her again in the future.

Peaceful and wonderful stay

We had such a relaxing time at Karen's cabin. We were greeted with a thoughtful welcome basket. It has a fully stocked kitchen, games, and a wood burning fireplace which was so cozy after skiing at Mount Washington. Thank you so much!

Cabin in the country

This property is amazing with a wood stove to keep cozy, very comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and wonderful outdoor space. We stayed with our pups and had a very nice time walking the property and surrounding area. Highly recommend!

Fantastic!

We had a lovely stay in this gorgeous cabin. The cabin is well stocked with kitchen items for cooking and a pleasure to cook in. We enjoyed the huge deck and the surroundings are so peaceful. A wonderful haven to return to after a day of activities.

Excellent and luxury hideaway

This place and Karen as a host was all we could dream of. We felt so taken care of both before, during and after our stay. A wonderful easterbasket met us at the kitchen table when we arrived, and we so enjoined a few days of fealing at home in this cozy cabin by the fireplace, at the porch with a look to the river or while cocking in the well equiped kitchen - if we ever come back to Vancouver Island, this will be the place to stay

Riverside retreat

A lovely, contemporary cabin — off the beaten track — with peace, quiet, and a chorus of frogs serenading you from the nearby riverside wetland every night. Recommended when you want to unplug, retreat and relax in style.

Tranquil stay at The Cabin

Our family of four had a lovely stay at The Cabin. We enjoyed being a little bit off the beaten path, the peacefulness, and the private access to the Oyster River. The Cabin is well appointed and comfortable, and the outdoor shower and large lawn was enjoyed by our kids. Karen was easy to communicate with and we had no problems.

Happy NY to us - thanks for The Cabin!

Wonderful way to kick off the NY and enjoy coastal winter on the island. The Cabin is well appointed, cozy and bright, even on a winter's day. We enjoyed everything the property had to offer, but due to snow, had to save the campfire and outdoor shower for another day. Karen was wonderful to deal with, supported our inquiries about the area, and has a lovely property. We'll be back!

We loved how peaceful and relaxing the property was. It was beautiful inside and out! A nice walk down to the river, a large deck, a nice firepit area, an amazing bathtub. The cabin was spacious and had everything we needed and more. Thank you so much for sharing your piece of paradise with us. We hope to return again soon.

Amazing place for a wedding

Karen was such an amazing host. We had an elopement party here and she was very helpful with all our needs and responded quickly to some last minute requests. The property is absolutely stunning and we hope to visit again soon.

Peace and Tranquility

So much fun!

We really enjoyed a relaxing stay at the cabin. Karen has thought of every detail to make your visit exceptional, we appreciated all the little touches. We woke to the sun and birds chirping, had coffee on the deck, cooled off in the river, explored the river trail, grilled, played games and explored all the nearby towns. Thank you, Karen!

Peaceful home away from home

Lovely, clean, quiet and comfortable cabin in the woods. Exactly what we needed for a refresh and recharge and some much needed quality time. The cabin and property were beautiful. We really enjoyed the fire place and short walk to the river. There was games for us and our toddler, space for our dog to stretch his legs and play outside. Well stocked, bright kitchen with bonus snacks and a thoughtful welcome basket with wine and bread starter to make your own homemade loaf! Close to Strathcona and the beach. We didn’t want for anything. A special place to stay.

Amazing private getaway in the woods!

Karen the host was wonderful, so helpful and we loved the special surprises she left for us..ingredients to make your own bread! The cabin itself was lovely, beautiful high windows and furniture. The most comfortable beds and bedding we have ever slept on. Best of all was the outdoor space to enjoy morning or night. We had a wonderful stay and hope to be back again!

Peaceful

The cabin and property are immaculate, spacious, and peaceful. We enjoyed quiet nights and exploring during the days. Saratoga beach at low tide, Horne Lake caves, Mount Washington, and shopping in Courtenay. Great family getaway!

Amazing hosts &location

The property was even more beautiful in person. Karen is a great host and left the cabin fully stocked for us. There was even a cute welcome basket with snacks and wine. Its described as cabin but was nicer than my house. Private and quiet location minutes from the beach. I will definitely be back
