We stayed in this home with another couple, and found it to be a great layout and generous amount of space for two couples. The kitchen is large with all needed cutlery and cookware, and we enjoyed the screened porch. The upstairs is bright and airy. The windows are in the process of being replaced, but nearly all had screens so it was no problem opening for a breeze, the temperature was comfortable. The house is fairly sparsely appointed and the living room couch isn't comfortable, however the furniture and decor are very accurately depicted in the photos so I'm not complaining. It looks just like the pictures. We took advice from one reviewer and brought something colorful to hang on the mailbox. It is super easy to miss, even during the day, and GoogleMaps initially routed us to the neighbor's house. It could benefit from better signage. We booked this house primarily for the beach and were concerned about beach access but it wasn't a problem. All of Acadia's coast shows damage from a brutal winter storm, and understandably this property's coastline is in the cleanup phase as well. There was a brand new, sturdy wooden staircase down to the beach, and a separate and new walkway, but it was not fully installed. The staircase was leaned up against the "cliff" and felt secure enough, although without the connecting walkway it made for a bit of an awkward pivot from the top of the bank to the staircase. It did not hinder us from accessing the beach, we made the quick walk each afternoon with bag chairs (3 are provided, a 4th would have been appreciated), beverages, binoculars, books, etc. It's completely navigable even toting stuff, and one member of our group coming off a knee surgery managed alright, just the angle is weird. We loved sitting on the coast and saw harbor seals and lots of other wildlife. There were a few smaller maintenance items I feel should have been noticed by the cleaners, but we alerted management at check out and they did not impact our stay. Would stay here again.
