It’s old and has issues!
There were no maps of the complex; we had no idea where to take our vehicle registration information. I finally googled the property to find what they listed as an office. It was locked, but looking inside it was being used as a storage place. A leaf blower was on a couch; tools all over a desk, etc. Once we found the door locked, we saw a mail box that was stuffed with the same papers we were depositing.
I was more than disappointed to learn, after making our initial deposit through VRBO that VACASA was a property management company being used. We have rented through VRBO for over 12 years and love the communication and service we paid for and get. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and was so disappointed! I’ve detailed the problems below.
They texted me with the key box code and internet password on our arrival. I had to rent an additional night (Nov 1st) because we could not get an early check in on Nov 2nd. We were getting in at 1pm. I paid the extra night rate. As a kicker, they offered a 1pm late checkout for an additional $49! No!
The tv had absolutely no instruction. We got it turned on and every show were started to watch indicated we had 15 minutes before we had to purchase the channel. I texted VACASA and they finally suggested resetting the cable box. After day 2, it resolved itself! I indicated issues with the blind in the bedroom and a couple other things. They sent someone on day 3. The ceiling fans aren’t enough!
Kitchen tiles - 2 broken and needs washing. Rug in living room stained so badly we didn’t go barefoot.
Couch and loveseat saggy, needed cleaning. We used the pool towels to cover the seating area.
The throw pillow had little to no stuffing. The covers were dirty.
The bed pillows were plentiful, but foam filled and had an odor.
The blinds in the first bedroom were not curtains as pictured online. These were plastic strips and one was missing that allowed a perfect view into the bedroom!
The toilets in both bathrooms squealed after flushing.
The first bathroom had damage to the pocket door at the bottom. Also the bottom of the vanity had been sawed or cut on and it allowed a cockroach to go in and out. (My husband finally caught it)
The shade in the living room constantly refused to be pulled up.
There was sand inside the rubber liner in the dryer - we hadn’t used it yet. The dishes were cracked and chipped. One of the coffee cups had actually been glued.
