Check-in was a nightmare that took over 45 minutes because the rental office had the incorrect check-in date. Management offered another night stay which we accepted. I’d advise you to check in before 6pm. The front desk staff insisted I leave a credit card for incidentals; I refused.
The house was clean-ish. Giant cobwebs were on the high ceilings, fans, and wood beams. The manager sent housekeeping/maintenance, but neither corrected the issue. The grab bar was also pulled from the wall, and the dryer did not turn off. The downstairs bathroom lid was broken and clogged frequently. There were lights out, soft spots on the floor, and the carpeting was unsafe in a few areas.
This is not a 3-bedroom rental. There is one private bedroom with a tiny bathroom. Take six more stairs, and a bed is at the top of the steps. Go up about ten more steps, and there is another bed. There is no door between these beds, and they share a tiny bathroom.
The rental is okay. It would be better with updated amenities including dressers and an office desk. The cleaners and maintenance need to be more thorough. A Keurig, basic cooking supplies, extra plates/dishes, and a potato masher would have been helpful.
Chiquita at the Broad Creek Rec Center is AMAZING. She and her partners are engaging, considerate, and thoughtful. We enjoyed the many activities at the Rec Center just around the bend. These were not included in the rental cost; we spent $200 on the activities at the Rec Center.
