When we arrived at our rental, it was super cute. Great views and honestly better than photos. However as we got settled in, we noticed that in both beds, the mattress pads were stained and had dirt/hairs in them as well as quite a few stains (which, for a company that charges a fee for staining from makeup/blood on the linens, there shouldn’t be any). There were also splatters of substances all over the kitchen and on the appliances. We took photos just to make sure we weren’t held accountable for any of these things and messaged our host to make them aware. We didn’t receive a response until 3 days into our trip, and after a explaining the situation we were told to email photos, it seemed like they didn’t believe us. I sent them over and received no response. No one checked back in or reached out at all. It’s important to also note that we reported the sliding glass door was very difficult to open and we had to wrestle with it EVERY time we entered or exited the unit. On our last night, my partner was trying to get it closed and slammed his thumb into it. The gash from this needed stitches. We sent another inquiry after this and still no response. I’m just so disappointed as we travel every year to holden beach and have never once complained about a rental. This definitely put some stress into our vacation. I hope they are able to improve their customer service as well as the cleanliness/safety of this rental.
