The condo was pleasant enough. While it looks very dated, it was very clean and in good condition. The sofas were not saggy as they often are in similar places. The kitchen was really tight, and you wouldn't want to try to cook a big meal in it, but it was fine for breakfast or a pasta dinner. It could use a toaster oven, but you can make do with the broiler. Often in similar types of condo lodging, you will find some basic items that have been left over from prior lodgers - spices, olive oil and the like. You will not find any of that here, and in fact, you are warned that you will be fined $150 if you leave anything. It felt like such a shame to throw such items away when they had hardly been used and to throw away unopened refrigerated items (a tub of parmesan, a container of hummus, etc.), but those are the rules.
The biggest drawbacks were the beds (quite uncomfortable) and the showers (quite small and anemic). We weren't sure why they only had queen beds when there was room for a king, and the mattress was such that when one person moved the other was jolted awake. The blankets and coverlet also seemed a little old and thin. Also, for some reason, turning the heater on made the living area quite toasty but didn't do much to warm up the bedrooms or bathrooms. If you are driving in, you might want to throw a space heater into the car for your shower. In addition, the showers themselves were not the greatest - it took quite a while to get hot water and was very hard to get the temperature right - either too hot or too cold. The water pressure was also quite weak.
The location would ordinarily be great - a few minutes' walk to the lift - but the resort operators didn't manage to get the downhill runs open while we were there which meant we had to schlepp our skis home in our ski boots at the end of the day. The walk into the main part of town was short, and the market was just behind the condo complex.
All in all, I'm not sure that we'd stay at this property again, but we don't have any regrets about choosing it for our most recent visit to Telluride.
