Beware- NO HOT WATER
Please be fully aware before booking, that this property has NO hot water. We immediately notified our host Richard (he may have been the only positive of the stay and he was extremely attentive in all other matters).
However, he had told us that he contacted the owner of the property about the hot water issue and he had said "the house's water heater only runs on solar."
We thought this to be ridiculous, since it was an 8 bedroom vacation rental property on the beach and hot water should be a necessity at all times...however since it was cloudy that day, we unfortunately took him at his word and waited another day.
However, the next day was completely sunny, but yet again no hot water. We had 11 adults and toddlers who had to take cold showers on their vacation. The kids were crying hysterical each time and it completely ruined our stay.
We reiterated to our host the hot water was still not working and were once again assured it was solar and another day of sun would fix it.
It never did, he came out to "look" at it, and promised he was in touch with the owner and assured us he would resolve it.
He never did, we left and after countless promises to resolve, he completely ghosted us.
At this point we are positive the owner had known of the broken hot water and rented the property to us anyway.
The lack of basic amenities such as hot water is unacceptable and significantly affected our ability to enjoy our stay comfortably.
