I work mostly close to home but also travel some.

Beautiful, fully equipped studio apartment in 18th-century building in central Barcelona’s fashionable Born neighbourhood, just 5 minutes’ walk from the Picasso Museum, the Gothic Quarter, the Port Vell and other top sights.

The studio is located in a charming building that dates back to the early 1700s, and where Picasso once reputedly had his studio while his father worked at the adjacent Llotja art school. Set on the fourth floor of this historic building, the studio enjoys amazing city views and plenty of natural light. It preserves all its original character, including huge raw cut oak beams, but has been fully equipped with everything you need for a memorable and comfortable stay. The fully fitted kitchen has marble work surfaces, and comes complete with oven, electric hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. The supremely comfortable double bed has sumptuous designer bedding for a luxurious feel, and there is a dining area where you can sample fresh produce from the local markets, plus a spacious, modern bathroom with rainshower. We’ve thought of every detail, so that you don’t have to: you’ll also find all the essential extras you’ll need, from a hairdryer to an iron.

The studio overlooks a pretty little square with a friendly café, and you’ll find scores of places to eat, drink and shop within a stone’s throw. El Born is Barcelona’s coolest district, packed with inviting boutiques, cafés, museums and sights. The beaches are a 20-minute stroll away along the waterfront, and there is a taxi rank and excellent bus, train and metro connections within a 5-minute walk.
