Buff and I (Richard) live in Knoxville, TN, where I am an administrator in a small university that also has a campus here in Kissimmee. Buff retired a few years ago from the Indiana High School Athletic Association. We have lived in North Carolina but mostly raised our two children in Indiana. When we started looking for rental properties in Florida, we almost did not come to look at this home, but as soon as we walked in Buff knew this was to be our home away from home and we are trying to gradually put our touches on it.

There is something about this house that feels like home to us. It is partly intangible. But it is also about the way it opens up when you walk in the front door. The colors are warm and inviting. The furniture welcomes you to come have a seat. From the front door, you see out to the pool and sense that the reason you came to Florida (it is the Sunshine state after all) is right there in the family room. The furniture in that room is just slightly funky enough to appeal to the way we like to think of ourselves, as well.

The fact that everything is on one floor but the master is at one end with all the other bedrooms at the other is a nice feature. Further, the separate living room with TV and game console for the kids appeals to us since our grandchildren will share this home with us as often as possible. The room that caught my eye more than any other however, was the game room. All the other homes had a game room, however, they were not air conditioned and heated. When we added the spa to the heated pool, the home felt complete.
