Disappointing property

Title: Misrepresented as Luxury – Very Disappointing StayAvantstay advertised this home on VRBO as a luxury rental, but it was anything but. The furniture was completely different from the listing photos—old, worn, and dirty. Despite being a 4,000 sq ft home, there was only one television. The house was full of broken or non-working items: the stovetop malfunctioned, many screens and sliding doors didn’t work, the washer and dryer were unreliable, the outdoor shower was inoperable, and the hot tub had several non-working jets. The Wi-Fi barely functioned, only working in one area of the house.The home was dirty upon arrival—the deck was unusable due to layers of grime. There was a tin pot filled with dirt and cigarette butts near the back door, and bags of trash were left outside. The interior was cluttered with random items, broken curtains, and damaged screens.When a team member from Avantstay came by, he was unaware of the issues and had to replenish basic kitchen supplies that were missing. It was clear the property was not well-maintained or managed.While we eventually accepted partial compensation, it did not reflect the level of disappointment we experienced. We’re sharing this so future guests are fully aware. There was nothing luxury about this stay. We are listing photos to show the difference in furniture that was posted on VRBO.

Just Awesome! The Perfect Family Vacation Spot!

We stayed here over the summer and this place was absolutely amazing. The manager was super responsive and amazingly helpful in more ways than I could list here. We felt like we were staying with friends while there. It was the perfect place, great furniture, fun atmosphere, awesome location and did you see the pizza oven? Come on, it really doesn't get any better than the Ponderosa. Thank you guys!!

Wonderful place for family reunion

The property is well-located. Easy to visit the beach, hike and visit Incline Village restaurants. The Vrbo staff was very responsive. Our entire family relaxed and created happy memories. The property owner is committed to maintaining a 1st-class property. All of us wish the owner and Vrbo team well. We will not hesitate to inquire about the availability of this property when we return. Many thanks from this appreciate family.

Wedding Weekend

Home was centrally located for all our weekend events. Check in is easy, home was clean. Unfortunately four I appliances in the kitchen did not work (2nd dishwasher, beverage refrigerator, Miele coffee station and the ice maker). Wish they would have worked as they were definitely items that helped in our decision to rent this property.

Prime location for Incline Village

Pros: Prime location, good hot tub, fun game room, clean home, amazing ceiling in living/dining room, great heating throughout home, good lighting, many windows to look out on the trees/snow. Cons: Wifi kept dropping in Primary BR, only 1 tsp. in kitchen, BBQ was filthy with no auto igniter, no place to put excess garbage/recycling, circular driveway was blocked by tree limbs and dumpster, could have had better snow removal on front deck and driveway, chimney must be blocked in Primary BR as fire could not be drawn/too smoky (and yes, we checked the flue), some carpets are pretty frayed, no bath soap in any bathrooms, no saucepans in kitchen.

big house - not luxurious

Overall the property is just OK - It's huge, but lots of wasted space. The property is not well cared for or maintained. We found many items that did not work. The showers all leak/drip and the big shower downstairs is just a huge waste of space and the shower heads are all in the wrong places to take a nice shower. The kitchen "looks" cool -but is not very functional - and the daily items needed to cook are missing. We had 8 people on our reservation but only enough towels for 4. The management company does respond to issues, but not very quickly, and the response was often, "let me check with the "local" team." The game room is very fun, and we spent many hours playing pool and shuffle board, but the couch is so big and not really that comfortable. The back yard is big - but the grass was not mowed so it was high and the sprinklers went on 3 times a day for 30 mins, so it was hard to find a time when the grass was not wet to play out there. Over all - Incline is BEAUTIFUL, and the location is great, but this property is far from luxurious.

Birthday Bash

Me and my friends stayed for a weekend at the Ponderosa Incline Village location. We enjoyed the size of the house and the photos don't do the property justice. Plenty of space for everyone to hangout. the check-in was super easy and convenient. Having the key code made it easy to come and go and then also would not misplace a key or get locked out. We enjoyed hanging on the massive backyard patio, the front balcony when it was shady and the built in bar. Great place to host 8 people. The area is also nice and would recommend beach cruisers as part of the rental because the area is super close to biking areas that would be nice to have as an offering. The steam shower was a cool feature. We thoroughly enjoyed the parking set up of so many cars being allotted. I have never stayed at a rental property with so much parking. Helps for those friends who were not able to carpool. Would recommend this and I would stay again for sure.

Great house for family

Great layout, bedrooms and location. AvantStay was great at communicating. Property has some deferred maintenance but otherwise nice property, especially for pets with large fenced yard.

The property FAR exceeded our expectations. They had everything we needed as a family of 5 adults and 2 kidos ( ages 7 and 1) and our dog. I about cried when I saw the high chair and pack and play for the baby. I brought my own but was so thrilled that the property thought about the little details like that for families with babies. The house set up is ideal for multiple families. The back yard is open and flat perfect for outdoor adventures for kidos and dog. The walking trail is right across the street which is easy access to walking to the beach or stops. Will 1000% book this property again. Thank you Advant stay for being so wonderful!
