Brand new GAME ROOM - Pocono LAKEAWAY!

Newly refreshed lake house in the Poconos with a BRAND NEW GAME ROOM. This is a welcoming 3 bed and 2.5 bath that is 75 steps from the Lake.

Feel free to GRILL on the deck, sip your morning coffee on the porch, take the kayak for an amazing view of the lake, go for a swim in the lake or pool, play some basketball or tennis.

For the coffee lovers, I keep Nespresso vertuo pods stocks for your enjoyment.

Fire wood for the wood stove and fire pit are available, I ask that you use the heat resistant gloves and hooks for safety.

You are welcome to enjoy a quiet night watching TV, you have the options of Netflix, Hulu, YouTube TV, or Disney. If you want you can shoot some pool, play table tennis or have a little action playing “NERF KINGDOM”. If you are BOLD enough, take on KARAOKE NIGHT.

You are also 15 mins away from all the winter fun, skiing, snowboarding, tubing, etc. A short drive from all the winter resorts, great wolf lodge, and kalahari indoor water park.

Please note we have security cameras on the exterior of the house.

Enjoy the silence away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Family fun. Amazing property.

Communications with Angel the property owner was flawless from start to finish. The Welcome Center at check in was extremely efficient and friendly. The property itself was very very clean and well stocked for entertaining, cooking for, and sleeping for a family. We all enjoyed the game room with air hockey, ping pong, pool, and arcade games. Wildlife was fun to watch. And the neighborhood made for a beautiful walk with our dog too. We will plan to come back again.

Great Lake house off the lake

Really enjoyed our stay! Property is two houses down from the boat launch, making kayaking and fishing super easy. We even lounged on the sandy area (not quite a beach) while our friends floated down the lake. Great firework display by Tobyhanna for the 4th! The boat launch was a perfect spot to watch them. The house had everything we needed to grill and cook all weekend. Game room was a plus for rainy days. Our pup enjoyed the area too!

Nice stay at the lake with lots to do

Our family of 4 had a great stay. We had on and off showers the weekend of our rental and we still had a great time. The house had a nerf gun collection and a pool table. The kids spent hours playing pool between our outdoor activities. The lake is beautiful and so relaxing, it was across the street so a quick walk away. We used the kayaks that were available at the house. The nights it didn't rain we enjoyed the peaceful fire pit.

Perfect New Year weekend 👌

We had very nice and pleasant stay in that house. The space it is bigger like we thought. 20 minutes to ski and tubing, but book before, because turning were sold out, but if was new year weekend. Very close to lake. The weather was terrible for new year but in house have a lot of different kinds of spending time fun. Pool table, ping-pong table, karaoke machine, and Nintendo games, like super Mario, get me back in my childhood. Also we catch some yellow perch from shore. I am sure in summer should be better to try boat which is on beach. So happy to stay there and will try to book it on summer time to try more activities with is there. Thank you so much.

Our Review

Angel was awesome to work with and communicated promptly and well. The property description was on target. Unit is very well stocked with utensils and games. The check in / welcome center was cumbersome and not welcoming in any way.

A Lake Away=A Perfect Stay!

The title "Need a break? Get a Lake Away!" can't be more appropriate. We all need a break sometime & this home will give you the break you need to rest or time to get active. Angel & Diana were very easy to work with which started our trip right, We are just a couple traveling with our dog but this home has lots of room to accommodate a larger family. We were welcomed with a special note from our hosts & a basket of goodies. The home is comfortably furnished & provides you with many activities both inside & out. The weather wasn't the greatest but you had plenty to keep you occupied. We didn't have the chance to use the boat or kayaks or fishing equipment but maybe we will on a future visit. We did enjoy long walks with our dog & he enjoyed barking at the deer. The lake is lovely & our last day saw many people enjoying it. The area has many things to do such as Tobyhanna State Park, Mt. Airy Casino, antique shops, outlets, brewery, Mt. Pocono Casino Theater to name a few. To sum it up-You can't go wrong going to "A Lake Away."

Large, Gated Community on a Lake

I visited with my 12 year old and her Dad. The property is in a very large, gated community with some units being lakeside or offering a view of the lake. We had a nice time with the cabin ameneties (Ping pong table, wood stove, Netflix, etc.) since it was an unusually cold April weekend. My only 'concern comment' is that when we checked in there seemed to have been recent cigarette smoking in the cabin. I happen to be allergic to cigarette smoke, and it being so cold made it difficult to air the cabin out, or sit outside and enjoy fresh air on the deck. I understand that wood stoves can create smoke (which is fine) but many folks have issues with cigarette smoke allergies, so the description of the unit should not say "non smoking" if cigarette smoking is allowed? I realized after checking in there was mention of disposing of cigarette butts in the check-in/cabin rules.

Responsive Owner

Angel was helpful from the beginning to the end of our stay. We stayed 3 nights and everyone enjoyed it. The TV/family room was very cozy with the wood stove going. Plenty of fresh towels and extra blankets as well as some goodies upon arrival.

Exactly what the doctor ordered

We all needed a break to breathe and relax someplace quiet and connected to nature. This was the perfect spot for it! The owner/property manager was extremely responsive and attentive, always replying within minutes to messages sent via vrbo. This property is located within an association. The check-in process was slightly wonky. Our friend who was joining us drove up separately and getting her gate pass set up took a bit of back and forth. In the end, though, I contacted Mr. Orantes through vrbo, he responded right away and called the gate office to get it sorted out pretty quickly. It was out of the owner's control and was only a very minor inconvenience. I would just suggest, if you are coming with more than one car, try to arrive at the same time and check in together to avoid any issues. The home is lovely, we especially enjoyed the wood burning stove and the outdoor firepit! The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful (right on the lake). There is plenty to do if you come in the summer. If you visit in the fall like we did, it's still amazing. Beautiful views, lots of trees sporting fall colors, outdoor firepit, nearby hiking trails, etc.

Nice Weekend Getaway

This place exceeded our expectations for a nice place to vacation with your family for the weekend. The house was very roomy, the bedrooms were big, and the bathrooms were also very nice and big. With the lake being a short walk away, we really enjoyed the extra activities like being able to go fishing, kayaking, or even having a barbeque right in the backyard. The pool table that can also turn into a ping pong table was also a plus. There was a karaoke machine that you can also play regular music as and use as a speaker, and then there was access to basketballs and tennis balls as well as rackets that you can take down to the courts to play that is a short drive way. We really enjoyed our stay because there was never a dull moment and we always had things to do. Thank you for the experience!

Beautiful property right by the lake!

We greatly enjoyed our stay in Tobyhanna. The house was beautiful, clean, and full of great amenities. We loved getting to take the boats out on the lake, and we were very impressed by the neighborhood. Thank you for being so responsive to our questions and for a great experience as a whole!
