Relaxing, simple, nice, and easy!

A Little Piece of Heaven

If you’re looking for a place to wind down and relax, this is it! Jim and Sally, our hosts, were so welcoming and friendly, and the cabin was comfortable and cozy. We loved sitting by the fire each night; sleeping to the sound of the running creek; and waking each morning and sitting on the front porch with a cup of warm coffee while taking in the beautiful scenery.

Peaceful!

We loved our stay at the tiny-house forest cabin. It was a great way to unwind from city life. The cabin had everything we needed. Sally and Jim were excellent hosts and fun to talk to. We enjoyed the beautiful setting and the animals that passed by such as deer, heron's, cardinals, and some other unidentified cuties maybe a beaver. Lots of wonderful forest sounds along with the creek lulled us to sleep. We visited wineries and cider businesses. Tubing at the creek was fun too!

Slice of Heaven

Quiet little cozy spot in the woods, balcony porch overlooking the creek. We absolutely loved it, can't wait to visit again. The property owners, Sally & Jim were very pleasant and accommodating. We really enjoyed our conversations with them.

Tiny cabin on the creek

We fully enjoyed our stay and plan to visit again. The cabin is very small and rustic. Great location and not far from town yet you feel like your way out in the country which was exactly what we were looking for. The best part was the back deck overlooking the creek. If your looking for fancy, move on. Jim and Sally were wonderful hosts. If your looking for easy, peace and quiet, it’s a 5 star!

The Perfect Getaway

The owners were lovely & super friendly. The cabin was quaint & minimalistic but that just added to the rustic charm. Awesome hiking & winery within 2 miles of the cabin. We definitely will be back to this little cabin on the creek.

Great Location and Charming Cabin

Beautiful view of river from quaint porch. Owners were very friendly. Very close to Ellijay and wineries. We'll definitely return.

Nice little stay

We had a great time! The area is very nice and the house is very convenient to town and the vineyards and apple orchards. We also hiked Amicalola Falls (which is beautiful but not for the faint of heart, FYI so be prepared!) We ate at the Roof and really enjoyed it. Ott Vineyards was super nice as well.

Exactly as described, exactly what we were looking for!

I booked this place as a weekend getaway for my boyfriend’s birthday - he loves to fish/golf/hike - the cabin is within walking distance to at least one excellent hiking trail with some great fishing spots! Not to mention it’s right on a creek. The space was perfect and had everything we needed! Very easy to keep warm and comfortable. The owners were so kind and helpful. WiFi was solid enough for us to watch the football game Saturday night, and cuuuuute restaurants and shopping very nearby. We also went up to Toccoa Farms to golf - it was an easy 30-35 minute drive, and he said it was his new favorite course. Gorgeous. We will be visiting again!

Romantic and Private

I hate to use the word “seclude”. But it is very private without be “remote”. The view is absolutely stunning. The whole tiny cabin experience was perfect for two. Everything you need in a cozy area. Jim and Sally were delightful. Jim built these and the workmanship is unbelievable! Highly recommend!

Pleasant creek side escape

We absolutely loved our stay here. The views and sounds were wonderful and we enjoyed the hospitality of our hosts. The cabin was well stocked and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. My husband said that of all our trips this was his favorite and he especially enjoyed opening the screened window and letting the soothing sounds of the creek in.

We are only 3 miles from Cartecay Vineyards and about 4 miles from Chateau Meichtry Vineyards. They offer tables on a patio overlooking the vineyard with wine tasting . In colder weather both have a lovely building in which to taste wine. There you taste the wines and view the mountains and valley you are nestled within. Nearby you will find the town of Jasper which has the Sharp Mountain Winery with tours and tastings. Blue Ridge is only 20 minutes away with quaint shops and eatteries. There is an antique steam engine train that you can ride to a nearby town and back to Blue Ridge. Carter's Lake and Lake Blue Ridge are nearby and offer boat rentals and jet skis as well as hiking trails. Amacalola Falls State Park is 20 minutes away with the highest falls east of the Mississippi River. You will enjoy hiking its steps you may climb to the top and back down. They have many trails from easy to expert!

We bought and modified an old barnboard cabin here on Clear Creek. We have always enjoyed the mountains and finally moved here from Cartersville only an hour away. We enjoy the colder weather in winter and the cooler summers. We love the anticipation of snow and the views and woods that this area provides. Jim then built the 2 cabins we have here at Forest Cabins all by himself. Come and enjoy the nature, swings, hiking and the babbling streams.

You are in the woods on a pond and stream but only 10 minutes from Wal Mart. You have 2 wonderful state parks nearby, Amicalola Falls and Fort Mountain. 3 miles away Cartecay Vineyards offers wine tasting and music on a patio built against an old chimney over-looking their vineyards and surrounded by mountains. We are the mountain biking capital of Georgia. Our Apple Festival the last 2 weekends of October draws people from all around. The arts and crafts are always unique and entertaining. You won't walk away empty-handed. Down town Ellijay offers nice antique shops and restaurants in which you may choose to sit outside and view the surrounding town, weather permitting. About 15 miles away is the town of Blue Ridge which has a steam engine train ride that takes you on a ride to Copper Hill TN. You will pass along the river in outdoor traincars or may choose to sit inside. Blue Ridge also has many shops and restaurants for tourists.
Nearby Jasper has Sharp Mountain Winery which has wine tastings.
