The second floor loft space and wrap-around deck give you some of the best sunshine and views in Rock Creek Valley with an eastern exposure to Brewster Creek and a western exposure up Sawmill Creek Valley.

You will have a private fire ring in the backyard, but fire bans are frequent during dry spells. Please check with owner before having a campfire.

There is a path behind the loft that leads to the Rock Creek (5 minute walk). Use this path when coming and going to avoid others' private property.

There is a three-ring house manual available in the loft. It contains more details about the property, amenities, heating and cooling, etc.

Great Couples Retreat

This was a great loft for me and my wife to get away. Ingrid & Chris were wonderful hosts. They respected our privacy but we looked forward to chatting with them and they gave us great advice about the area. The location is beautiful, clean, well furnished, the shower is amazing, and this was a great base camp for fishing. We enjoyed coffee on the deck, walks around the area, fishing during the day, and stargazing in the evening. We hope to stay here again soon! This is a perfect place to get away for couples.

Wonderful!

My husband and I stayed at Sawmill Loft for five days. We have stayed in a number of different vacation rentals and we have added this one to our list of favorites. The loft was very clean and comfortable. It had all the modern conveniences that we love and was in a beautiful and relaxing mountain setting. Ingrid and Chris are thoughtful hosts who have added little extras to the home like charging blocks in the bedroom and a bowl of snacks in the kitchen. They went out of their way to provide us with great tips, even messaging us midweek when they discovered a golf course they thought we would enjoy. The loft is a short walk away from Rock Creek and we enjoyed fishing. Thank you to Ingrid and Chris for sharing their beautiful property with us. It was a delight.

We are your hosts, Ingrid and Chris. We both retired from teaching five years ago and made a move to Montana from our long-time home in Northern Wisconsin near the twin ports of Duluth and Superior.

We both depend on wilderness and public lands for our enjoyment, health, and sanity! We hope Sawmill Loft might provide you with a base for your own adventures.

The Rock Creek valley provides guests with a mountain get-away despite being only 9 miles off interstate 90 and only 40 minutes from Missoula. Our property offers a private path to Rock Creek where guests can fish, picnic, hike, or relax and read a book.
