Make memories while entertaining on the furnished ocean-view porch or fish off the boat dock at this beautifully decorated home just a short walk to the General Store and ice cream shop. Enjoy an open living, kitchen, and dining area that was designed for entertaining. Whip up favorite dishes in the well-equipped kitchen, then gather together at the six-seat dining table overlooking the ocean. The main-level primary suite features an en suite bathroom and a private furnished balcony. Three guest rooms are located upstairs - one of which offers a private balcony overlooking the waterway. Extra perks include central heating and air conditioning, a private washer/dryer, and an outdoor sink for cleaning fish.

2024 Family Vacation

We had an amazing time at Holden Beach!!! This house had a few little issues, but they were resolved quickly. None of them were deal breakers. We loved the location of the house and the view of the beach was amazing. We will definitely love to stay here again.

Washer and dryer both went out on day two of trip, owner only replaced the dryer (on Thursday) - so no washer for the week. Owner did offer a credit of $180, which doesn’t go far at a laundromat for multiple people on beach vacation, not to mention the aggravation of spending hours of your vacation at a laundromat! Upstairs AC until would not cool the upstairs lower than 72 degrees the entire week regardless of what the thermostat was set on. There was no hot water - guessing the hot water heater thermostat was set to keep cost down, but hot water would have been nice for showers and doing dishes. Area at bottom of outside stairs (backside of house) has rotten boards. We had to set a table over the area so no one would step there and fall.

Perfect Location

Beach house is directly across from the pier parking lot, giving you an unobstructed ocean view without oceanfront pricing. Back of the house is on the canal with a boat dock and another beautiful water view from the balcony. Nice layout of the house with ample space.

Ocean views

We really enjoyed our time at Seahorse Island! The home is very clean and well taken care of. The views are beautiful- from the front porch and the back decks. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen and dining area were great for our family to cook and eat together. The only (very minor) suggestion I would have is possibly replacing some of the cookware (pots/pans) but we tend to eat in a lot. Overall, we loved our vacation and would definitely recommend it!!

Cute house

Having ocean views from across the street was so nice. The front of the house faces the pier parking lot, so it’s a straight view to the ocean! The back dock was nice to have also. The house is cute and spacious. There are a few maintenance issues, like the ceiling has had many leaks that have not been painted and the house needs a deep cleaning. The stove is very old and needs a good cleaning or replacing. Otherwise, the house is great! Large rooms, nice beds, cute colors and decorations! We would definitely stay again! Would love to be able to also rent the pontoon boat docked out back next time!!

Great location!

This house was in the perfect location for our family! It is directly across the street from the fishing pier (closed at the present time, but has an access to wide beautiful beach), which made access to the beach so easy. We also enjoyed the house's dock, where my son fished. The house is spacious & beautifully decorated. Communication with Vacasa was easy & prompt. We knew before we went that the front porch overlooks the parking lot of the beach access. The toilets were difficult to flush at times, but overall we would definitely return! Bring additional kitchen towels, napkins, trash bags, plastic wrap. Everything else was provided, including sheets, towels, & wash cloths.

We had a great time, but...

We had a great time. The ocean views out front and inlet views out back provide the best of both worlds, and could get a 5-star review alone, if not for the fact of having to look over the porti-johns across the street at the pier. The house has all the right bones, but it is lacking in maintenance, cleanliness, and supplies. This house needs a DEEP clean! So, if all the matters to you is a great location, then this house is good for you. But if you want a clean, up-to-date, well maintained, well supplied rental, then this house is not good for you.

Good location

Plenty of room. Plenty of towels. Floor was very dirty. Porch railings need repair. Very slippery bathtubs and tub doors were inoperable. Not suitable for a family with a toddler. Needs a good maintenance checkup

Seahorse cottage

We had a blast...the cottage was nice but owners need to do some maintenance..painting etc...we were 4 grandmas and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Fun location

Good floor plan and under the house was good if things had been freshened up. Good people watching front porch. Hook broken on front porch gate. Could not lock and keep closed. Oven handle missing. Back burner knob broken. Dangerous could not turn eye off.

Not bad as rentals go

About standard for beach rentals as they go but be warned the house overlooks a public parking and RV camper lot and row of porto potties - which might not be what you are expecting.

First visit to Holden Beach

The interior was quite comfortable, and enjoyed the open floor plan. Outdoor areas were very good, with a covered front porch and also a nice area with seating and a swing in the back facing the canal, which was in the shade in the late afternoon and evening. The exterior could use a little painting maintenance, but nothing that took away from the experience. We greatly enjoyed our stay.
