Spring is a perfect time to rent . Azaleas and hydrangeas are in bloom alongwith spring flowers. There may still be a chill in the air and you can build a cozy fire.We’re happy to say we have replaced all of the carpeting and have made many new improvements this year on Lou’s Place and would love you to come and stay with us.
Do you find yourself yearning for some quiet and serenity. Look no further. Wake up to watching deer in the yard, birds singing and nature all around you. Hike the 20 acres of woodland and you might see some turkeys.
Enjoy the beautiful mountain stone fireplace on a chilly night. Sit on the wrap around patio and gaze at the stars.
This home was built by a custom woodworker and you can see his craftsmanship in the kitchen cabinets and doors and some of the furniture.
The backyard is fenced in for your children or animals.
This is a 2 bedroom house but there is a twin and queen bed and pullout couch in the basement.
The master bedroom has a king bed and guest bedroom has a queen bed. This property is not wheelchair accessible as you have to go up steps to enter.
There are games and toys for the kids and adults.
The kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans, dishes and everything you need to make a wonderful meal. There is also an outside grill.
We are only 10 mi from Williamsport and 16 mi from the Little League World Series Complex.
Enjoy swimming or fishing in the loyalsock Creek 20 min away or fishing in Rose Valley Lake 7 mi.

The property had e erything we needed. Very clean,lots to do in area, pet friendly. Highly recommend

The home was awesome. In town for a wedding. Brought our 2 dogs with. Amazing yard for them to run. Everything we expected. Would definitely stat here again town for a wedding

Absolutely Beautiful House in the woods

This house is absolutely beautiful very clean and the owners were very nice. We definitely will be returning we loved the fenced area for our grandchildren and pups everything we wanted and than some we got to see the beautiful deer in the morning

Beautiful home and property

Your home is obviously loved. It was well cared for, clean, and organized. My kids, husband, and I had a great time. The proximity to Williamsport was ideal. Thank you for sharing!

Wonderful stay!

The place was exactly as described. Immaculately clean in a peaceful setting. Perfect accommodations for my family and friends. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to get away and disconnect for a while.

Perfect mini-vacation spot

The cabin was clean and well stocked for our needs. All beds were comfortable, would only recommend maybe a new pillow or two. :) We enjoyed the location of Chris’ place so much we hope to stay again!

Family Meet Retreat

My siblings and I learned we had an older half-sister unknown to all living members of our family. She lives in Williamsport, which is ironically the halfway point for driving between our homes. We all met in person last Friday here. It truly was for all of us, including our 10-year-old Cocker Spaniel, "a home away from home." My husband and my sister's husbands are chefs. Christina assured me they would have all they would need for meal preparation and service, including a well-stocked pantry, to their satisfaction there. The bathrooms and bedrooms had everything we needed, including soft freshly washed linens and towels. Everything, I mean everything, was sparkling clean from the ceilings, including all the ceiling fans, to the floors, including the baseboards. It was thoughtfully and tastefully decorated throughout. The abundant outside spaces were immaculate, too, and comfortable with gorgeous views. The weeping cherry tree by the front porch was in full bloom. Every single detail from hand soaps to cut crystal wine glasses were provided. We shall try to book again and again, each time we visit my sister. It truly felt like "our home away from home."

Absolutely amazing house

We had such an amazing stay. Got to catch a game at the little league World Series and just completely relax and take in the beautiful surroundings from every room in the house!! Can't wait to come back!

Excellent retreat

We came out to celebrate a graduation and it was great to be able to all be in one please to hang out and talk and eat together. Easy get away with plenty of room. The portion of the fenced in yard/deck was fantastic.

Cabin in the woods

Our family met at this quiet and remote cabin. It gave us a chance to get caught up with memories post COVID. We really enjoyed it and this might have to be an annual family event. Thanks for a lovely time And also providing all amenities of being at home!

Fantastic Mountain Getaway

From the moment we arrived, we (and our two small dogs) were relaxed and chilled out. Despite the occasional road noise, the property was quiet and it was fantastic waking to the sound of birds and summertime. Super clean, comfortable king-size bed, great place to spread out and just relax. 10 minute drive from Williamsport and easy connections to tons of great outdoor parks and trails. We will be returning for a fall foliage visit, I hope!

Lovely dog friendly cabin

Property is very accurately described. Yard and porches are fenced, very nice to be able to hang w/fam and not worry about doggo going anywhere. Kitchen is stocked very well, as is the linen closet. Host did reach out on my check in day to make sure we arrived and to answer any questions I had. Overall I was very happy with my stay and will look to stay again next time we are in the area.

Lovely Home!

Lovely rustic feeling home near Williamsport. Has a rustic log cabin feel, but with every amenity a home could have! Very peaceful area, we only head a little bit of road noise. Very clean. Easy check in. The driveway is very steep, but wasn't really an issue. There isn't really any cell service, but the internet worked fine and it was kind of nice to be a little unplugged. Our only suggestion is to maybe trim back the vegetation at the end of the driveway. It made the visibility a little difficult when pulling out of the driveway. The street was a fairly quiet one though, so it wasn't so bad. We had a wonderful time! Thank you!

Peaceful weekend

This was my second time at Lou’s place and again, it did not disappoint. Spacious dwelling on a beautiful rural wooded setting. Cell and wifi are iffy, but it’s a great place to get away. Christine is extremely responsive. Very well equipped and lots of extras! Thank you again

Nice improvements

This is our second stay at this lovely house. There are some nice little improvements, such as decorations and lighting that really make it feel like home. Plenty of utensils, cookware, sheets, blankets and supplies. Very close to Williamsport, and if you are into breweries, close to New Trail Brewing and Bullfrog Brewing. There was one deer who kept returning to the backyard. The fenced part of the yard is nice to let the dog run a bit and burn off energy. Wonderful property, will return again!

Just what we needed

This place was amazing and just what we needed. The driveway was steep and fun to climb. There was no cell phone service, except a certain spot outside. However, there was WiFi and a land line phone. We did not touch our phones at all. There was a TV, but we never turned it on, even with our 8 year old grandson. We enjoyed the silence, rode bikes, the record player and records, and we sat outside. The owners did an excellent job of stocking the house. There was plenty of firewood, fire pit. bandages, games, etc. It was like they lived there, then just left everything behind. There were even rafts in the garage. It was a much needed unplug and just enjoy each other and the silence. We will definitely be back.

Great Mountain Getaway!

We chose this property because of its location to the city "Williamsport" - only 15 minutes! I have family that lives there so this was way more enjoyable than a hotel. This little cabin was so perfect! The yard is amazing and the outdoor seating is wonderfully set up in the front and back of the house. Our dogs enjoyed the fenced-in yard that is accessible through the back of the house while we sat on the backyard deck and enjoyed the weather. The property manager was wonderful and super informative! Very easy to communicate with her and she gave precise instructions on finding the property and navigating the driveway. The cabin had all the necessities and a propane grill which we utilized as we were there for Memorial Day Weekend. Overall a perfect weekend getaway and we loved our stay! A few notes on pros/cons - the manager mentioned they are replacing the carpet with hard flooring and the driveway will be paved soon, so both of those can be erased from the cons list if you stay after they are taken care of. =) Pros: -Location -Dog friendly -Outdoor seating in both back and front of the house -Lots of notes/instructions so you can't mess anything up! -Quiet & mostly secluded -Great communication from the property manager -Ample parking -Fenced-in yard -Beautiful property Cons: -Crazy steep gravel driveway -Carpeting in most of the house -No AC in the main living area (window units are in BRs though) -Cigarette smell as if someone has smoked in the house previously

Felt Like An Invited Special Guest

Christina communicated through VRBO promptly when reservation was made . As our get away approached she provided the needed information so we found her home easily despite being set back in lovely tree lined area As we settled in, we soon felt like special guests rather than renters. Everything & beyond was available in kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. Cabinets / closets were labeled with contents making us feel quickly at home. Even outdoor lightening welcomed us home after returning from dinner. We rent about 2x a year for about the last 10 yrs. This home was by far the most generous in supplying cleaning products, kitchen utensils, large array of spices and even bottled water & condiments ( nothing expired that indicated just not cleaned out😛) . We were comfortable in any room whether we were sleeping g, dining and especially enjoying nature on the beautiful porches or yard. The fenced in yard delighted our beagle who does not have a fenced in yard at home. He even enjoyed a sausage from the fire pit with the wood supplied by owners! Our group of four totally enjoyed our stay in this home and highly recommend it if you are not tied to your cell phones or computers as internet is very sketchy! Us woman loved it as we actually saw our hubbies eyes and Sunday was e joyed playing games not watching football.

Warm, Comfortable & overall Amazing

Our family stayed here for a long weekend and couldn't have been more happy. Communication with Christine was prompt, clear and personal. We arrived late in the night and was pleasantly surprised to pull up to the porches being lit and lights on in the house which is appreciated when coming into a new place and not knowing what to expect. Access inside was quick and easy and everything, I mean everything, was labeled and easy to find, which we really appreciated. The house had absolutely everything we needed and we felt like family guests. Our corgi loved having not only the fenced in yard but the fenced porches to be with us. The house was so comfortable and we felt right at home watching Penn State football in the living room after spending time outside in the private yard and walking the trails. Location was easy to get to and only 13 minutes from the restaurants and walking downtown. This allowed us to go for a fun Axe throwing session, pick up take out and return to the house for a cozy evening in. The only two draws we advise about- the driveway is gravel & steep, so beware and plan for that, we doubt my mini-cooper make it up the driveway if there was any slippery weather and the cell phone coverage was pretty non-existent (which again, they do a good job advising you both in the description and in their house book). We did fine once we connected to their Wifi and is perfect for those that really want to disconnect :) We couldn't have enjoyed the house more and look forward to returning for another trip.

Wonderful location

This was a great property and I look forward to returning for a longer visit. Even tho it’s remote, it is still easy to get to just about anything you would want. Had no issue with wifi, cell service was a little spotty, but it still worked. Highly recommend if you want to unplug, kick back and relax. A nature lovers dream!
