An unforgettable getaway awaits at this dog and family-friendly home! Located only a mile from the heart of Kill Devil Hills, this well-equipped home has everything you, your loved ones, and even your dogs could need to experience a vacation out of this world!

This home is perfect for those looking to rest and unwind, but also would like to experience some outdoor fun. The covered front deck offers a nice place to sit and hang out with plenty of comfortable chairs. More fun awaits at the back patio with a firepit surrounded by a handful of patio chairs and a picnic table for meals al fresco. There's also an outdoor shower to rinse off the sand after spending a day at the beach. The ground-floor covered patio boasts an inviting hammock (perfect for midday naps) and a gas grill.

Inside, this light-filled retreat has a cozy living area with two sofas in front of a 55' LED Smart TV–you can stream your favorite shows and watch any sports game you want! The fully-equipped kitchen has stainless steel appliances, including a full-size fridge, stove, oven, and microwave. The breakfast bar seats up to three with high stools and is a great addition to the four-person dining table.

Great 4 day getaway!

We stayed off-season Mon-Thursday in March 2025. Lovely, cute home... great outdoor space to sit and let the dogs run around. Water faucet was a little touchy in the shower, but we figured it out. Loved the front porch! Great neighborhood, too. Easy walk to the sound for sunset and quick drive to the beach, lots of public access points. Beds aren't huge but worked for us. It was clean upon arrival. Would stay again!

Very clean, convenient and private

We enjoyed a short family vacation here. Had everything we needed for 2 adults and two kids. It was very clean and there was no pet odor. We liked the privacy of the home and felt safe in the neighborhood. Easy to get to the beach, shopping and other attractions. We also appreciated the outdoor shower to wash sand off.

Great location

Great location. About 1-2 mile drive to Wright National Museum. Safe neighborhood. Very clean upon arrival (crisp/clean sheets). I thought it worked well for the 2 of us for a short stay.

Disappointed

Overall, this stay was disappointing. If you are looking for a place to stay with your pets and don’t care about perfect cleanliness and hospitality, this place is OK. However, it is clear that there was not enough care and attention given to this home, especially cleaning and upkeep. In terms of cleanliness, the bedding appeared clean and it was tidy. However, the bathroom rugs were dirty and urine stained, there was a mug full of grease in the cabinet, dead flies/gnats, the shower handle is broken so you can’t adjust the temperature, the grill and grill utensils have old food and grease all over them, there is water damage in one of the rooms, the shower head and sink hose are dirty, there is dust everywhere, the place smells like a wet dog, etc. I understand this is a pet friendly stay, but most of these notes are not pet related. I spent the entire first morning of my trip cleaning this home. I did send an email to Vacasa with images in hopes that they will fix these issues for future guests, but I did not receive a response. As mentioned, if you are someone who doesn’t care a whole lot about hospitality, this place is fine, but when I am spending money and taking what little PTO I have, I want to stay somewhere that I feel comfortable and worry-free. This place did not meet those expectations. This place has so much potential and is in a good location. If the owners spent more time on maintenance and cleanliness, this could be a great stay.

Possibly has potential to be great

Just pay extra and go with a different place or company. This place has potential of being a great rental. For starters the car port was flooded right where you need to get up the steps so you’re walking into the house with soaking wet feet. When we got to the top of the steps to get into the house we were smacked in the face with an AWFUL smell that didn’t go away for a few days. We walked in and right away smelled dog pee on the rug at the door. Rugs or carpet shouldn’t be in dog friendly places. We saw dog hair balls rolling around on the floor and picked up one rug due to the smell and had so much dirt under it. The futon in the living room is just like sitting on a sheet of paper with wood slats under it. Your family only has ONE couch to sit on. The house gives you NO beach vibes. The grass was so high in the front and back and didn’t get mowed until days after we checked in and complained about it. We were told someone was going to be done about the place and our issues and ABSOLUTELY NO ONE reached out to handle our issues. I suggest going with a different place if you want the right beach vibes and a comfort place.

Great, quiet house

We loved this house! Tons of space for clothes & beach supplies. We had our dog (50 lbs) and he had plenty of space for his dog bed, and to run around a bit in the backyard. Wifi hits the backyard which made remote work very enjoyable. Quick walk to the intercostal. Management/ owners were very communicative.

Great vacation house

My wife and I went on a short vacation to the outer banks. This was the perfect place to stay. Conveniently located and had everything we would need at home. Plus, It is cheaper than a hotel. Will definitely use again.

It was ok

We visited the area for a weekend to celebrate my wife’s and I’s honeymoon. When walking into the home there was a musty smell. The bathroom had a bit of hair around the sink and toilet. The place was ok for 2 nights but I wouldn’t say longer. It didn’t have many plates or cups, the beds and pillows were very uncomfortable and the couch had lots of stains. Also the price for two night was way too much .

Nice stay at the beach

House is close to the beach and near any store you would need to go to. The house was clean when we arrived. This is our second stay at this property, the first time we had to go tot he store and purchase trash bags, laundry detergent etc. this time everything was stocked.

Comfy, pleasant and inviting

Very clean and fresh! Simple furnishings and oh so comfy. Beds and pillows were plush. Kind of down feathery. The living area is quite comfy as well. The location is neighborly. Quite relaxing when we stayed about the home.

Beautiful stay

we have young toddlers, and honestly, this location was great because it was very baby proofed. There wasn’t a bunch of things for them to get into and it was a smaller space so we could keep an eye on them, which was great The only thing that I found challenging was that there was minimal silverware dishes, plates, and cups, other than that, everything was clean and great. We loved our stay

Nice house Good location

Close to everything.. relatively quiet neighborhood.. rented it for the rods and customs show, got a little pissed when the guy showed up to cut the grass/weeds for some reason mid day Saturday kicking up dust and debris around our cars and the neighbors classic as well..even though it was very evident the grass had not been cut in awhile..it was knee high in the back ..and the , housekeepers /cleaners didn't show up till 3:45 on check out day...that's no reflection on the house, that's a reflection on the property manager...I will use house again next year
