Beautifully remodeled cabin steps from the forest with a big yard for snow play. Perfect for families! Close to sledding and go-karts. Spend more time together and less time in traffic. A short drive from the Alpine Pedal Path, restaurants, tons of hiking. A short drive into town to reach the Village. Perfect for those who want a little time away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Plenty of games and a brand new kitchen for baking cookies or pancake breakfasts. A big beautiful porch for watching the birds, squirrels and other wildlife. Come barbecue or enjoy Kallan’s Bar & Grill just down the street. We are just down (about .25 miles) the street from the new Red Line Trolley which will take you to the ski slopes, the Village, or around town, no need to drive! We know you will love it as much as we do!

Another great weekend!!!

Great location and adorable cabin. Loved it so much this is our second time using this home. Owners are so nice and always accesible. We only left to get take out!

Cute and cozy cabin!

We had a great stay at this cabin! We’ve rented a few little cabins over the years in Big Bear and this one has been our favorite! The cabin was clean and cozy and you could tell that the hosts put a lot of care into the place. It was well supplied too! Loved the coffee and tea bar, the board game cabinet and the black book with suggestions to enhance your trip. The location was great because at the end of the street there is a forest that had perfect sledding hills. But if you wanted to just make a snowman, there was more than enough snow in the front yard of the cabin. We would love to stay here again!

I can honestly say this was the best getaway we’ve had in a very long time. It was such a beautiful experience for my family and I. We actually felt at home away from for a whole weekend. The cabin was beautiful. It was organized and very clean. We truly loved staying at the cozy cabin. I would like also like to extend my gratitude to the host which communicated with me absolutely wonderful thank you so much.

Love this house!

The house was really nice! Great kitchen with everything to cook. It was very clean and smelled good. Nice location a little outside town but just a quick drive to everything. Would love to stay again. Thanks!

Beautiful home with a new cabin feel to it tucked away just outside town. Out of my mountain vacations might be my favorite cabin I’ve stayed in! Host was very communicative and house was extra stocked with stay supplies! We’ll be back

Wonderful location, adorable cabin

We love staying in Sugarloaf and this was our first time in this cabin. It is very cute and well-stocked, very clean as well! Erin was very helpful and communicative. This is our new favorite cabin in this area and hope to be back soon!

Quiet, cute, clean, lots of little details

Three adults, two kids and one pet. Loved arriving and seeing they have sleds available, we immediately went sledding to a hill just a block away. The house looks new, it's cute, clean, uncluttered, decorated with pictures of winter animals, and bears of course. Loved and used the kids books and the board games. The tea and coffee selection was a nice touch, they also have all the electronics (electric kettle, toaster, coffee maker) so that was helpful. The neighborhood is so walkable, we saw plenty of birds, rabbits and squirrels. Our favorite part was being away from the crowds in Big Bear but still 10 min away.

Adorable cabin with great extras

We loved our stay at this adorable cabin. Modern touches with a vintage vibe. Loved all of the nice extra touches like the fully stocked tea and cocoa area, games and books, and laundry. Easy to get to the Village and Big Bear activities. Erin was very responsive and always friendly. Will be back!

This is a cozy little cabin that’s super close to big bear. I would recommend for any small family. There was plenty of snow, but yet we did not need chains so this was definitely a plus…. Overall, the experience was great.

Snowy getaway

The process of renting this cabin was very easy from booking to checking in and checking out. There is a very detailed handbook left in the kitchen that goes over any and all items in the cabin and how to use it. The cabin is very cute with all updated decor. I love the location, it is out of the way of the hustle and bustle of Big Bear Lake, but close enough to drive to. The local bar Kaplans and the general mart were very good. The property is on a hill which made sledding fun, as well as it’s a few cabins away from a hiking trail. Overall, we loved staying here and can’t wait to go again.

Home away from home

We will gush about this cabin forever we were comfortable and happy immediately. It felt like out home, well equipped with everything you would need to cook, launch, play and relax! Quiet, clean, accessible, accommodating, spacious, plenty of bedding, all the appliances - all we really needed to bring was our food. Erin went above and beyond keeping us updated with local weather warning, taking us in a little early and giving us time to safely have adequate gear our car to depart without rushing. We sooo appreciated all of it! Really the whole family didnt want to leave we were so comfortable and cozy. Thank you for this lovely place 🥰 we already want to book for next season!

This place was amazing! Sooo pretty perfect for our little family. A little bit far away from The Village but took the hike down to post office and rode on the free trolley. Erin was an AMAZING host. We’re looking forward to future stays here!

Comfortable and Cozy

All of us in our group were impressed with this property. It was clean, nicely decorated, and well-supplied. It had all the comforts we needed. We were also impressed with the small touches --a drawer full of different teas, coffee, hot chocolate and hot cider packets; bookcases of popular and best-selling books; children's books and games; bathroom supplies of shampoo, conditioner, hair ties, cotton pads; etc. Even had some puzzles, one of which we did.

We bought the cabin in 2020 after looking for just the right property for a few years. This is our home but we love it so much that we enjoy sharing it with other families when we are not there. I drive up to clean it myself so you will always find it as clean as I would expect it to be for my family. We love it a lot and hope you can tell.

We like that Sugarloaf is a quiet area with direct access to the forest and snow play. It is away from all the traffic. It’s nice to be able to go into the main village easily but you can do many things without ever sitting in traffic.
