Location. Location. Location. Walk out your front door UNC’s campus and Franklin St. Quick drive to UNC Hospital.

This newly renovated 3 bed/2 bath home is a treasure. Open concept with high ceilings. Our farmhouse style living room flows into the fully stocked kitchen. Sleeps 8 people (1 King bed, 2 Queens & 1 Sleeper Sofa). Two full bathrooms (Master has bathtub/shower & guest bathroom has a shower)

The space
The kitchen has beautiful countertops, stainless steal appliances, tile backsplash, and more. It opens to a spacious living room. Relax on our queen sized sleeper sofa as you watch a movie or read a book. We also have a desk for anyone needing to get a few things checked off their list. A clothes washer and dryer are also in the unit for you.

Enjoy a HUGE backyard or walk to UNC, Carolina Inn, Top of the Hill, Suttons and the Old Well.

Guest access
We have plenty of parking for 3 cars behind the house. The primary entry with our smart lock access code is through the back door. It is well lit with motion activated lighting.

Other things to note:
*YMCA Access: We have worked it out with the YMCA that our guests can use their facilities for free for up to 7 days. Enjoy their pools, gyms, tennis courts, racquetball courts, etc."

To avoid confusion, and so that you can see an accurate rental price PRIOR to booking, make sure to enter the correct number of overnight guests. When checking out, VRBO will label any number of guests over the first 2 as “Additional Guest(s).

Great spot, walking distance to UNC

This cute house had all we needed for a few nights away during our son’s spring break. We enjoyed nearby golf courses, walking UNC campus, and taking a stroll around the town of Chapel Hill to find dinner or grab a coffee. The hosts were very hospitable and communicated in a timely manner all we needed to know to have a great stay.

Place is a good location for UNC. Only issue I have is advertising this as a 4 bedroom. There are only 3 bedrooms. Had one of our guest sleeping in the couch.

Mother of the Bride (MOB)

My daughter got married in the Presbyterian Church on Franklin Street. The location could not have been more perfect. The house easily accomodated the 6 of us and was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The landlord was very responsive to requests for extra towels and early/late check in and check out. The front porch was a great get away for the Father of the Bride! Loved being able to walk to Rosemary and Franklin Street. I would definitely stay in the house again.

Great location! Disappointing accommodations.

The house was a super close walk to Franklin street which was great for morning coffee, meals, and shopping! The property itself was very disappointing and did not meet the expectations as shown in the listing photos. It was not well maintained or clean - there was mold in the bathroom both in the shower and on the walls/ceiling, dust bunnies on most surfaces, broken blinds, unfinished laundry in the dryer, dirty bath mats on the washer, light fixtures with non-functioning bulbs, wrapping paper taped over the front door windows, wobbly bed due to bent supports, and discolored piling bath towels. It seemed like someone came to clean but didn’t finish the job and maintenance wasn’t completed regularly. Also, there were minimal “comforts” - no shampoo or conditioner were provided, no curtains to block bright street lights in bedrooms, lumpy mattresses, and no extra pillows. Overall, it’s a super convenient property but I’d hesitate to stay here in the future due to the issues experienced. It has the potential for a great place to stay if the issues are resolved.

Birthday Celebration

Great location close to Franklin Street! Worked well for an adult family of 4-5 as well as a gathering spot with an easy walk to Fraternity row, Carolina Inn or Franklin Street area. We would definitely stay again.

The house was very clean and spacious. The property is exceptionally well-located giving us easy access to the town - super convenient! This adorable neighborhood was quiet and the home was easy to find. Excellent value!

Lock on the door is frustrating

The house was great for us - we were there to look at colleges and attend UNC baseball camp. The only frustration I had was the lock on the door. It never opened in the first try. I had to stand outside and wait, redo the code, pull the door, hold the handle…frustrating! Especially standing in the rain or the summit blazing sun. The main bathroom had mold and hair at the bottom of the shower curtain (which can be fixed) the previous renters had put a beer bottle in the ice maker which exploded. We called management because the ice machine wasn’t working and what was there, was littered w tiny beer bottle paper and yellow ice. They were going to come out and fix it while we were there - but never got done. Again, something that can be fixed.

Very nice VRBO

This property is exactly as pictured. It is cute and very well supplied - many utensils, small appliances, etc. Really, everything was provided. The location is fantastic - you can easily walk to shops and restaurants - and also so nice and quiet. The host was most helpful and was so responsive. My only downsides were the mattress in one of the bedrooms was not comfortable (you pretty much rolled into the middle of the bed when you were on it) and there was a small issue with some bug problems. The house was meticulously clean and updated. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to others.
