This home comes with plenty of highlights, perhaps the best of which is its location close to the beach. Public beach access is 100 yards away. Back at the house kids will love the large backyard. With a lower-level storage area; this home has plenty of room to store fishing rods and all your beach gear. All the bedrooms are on the lower level and upstairs is a large open great room with ample deck space to enjoy sunrises to your east and sunsets on the west-facing decks. Also, upstairs guests can take advantage of additional sleeping quarters with a sleeper sofa in the sitting room with a TV that can be closed off from the main living area. From nearby shopping and restaurants to close water sport activities; guests are certain to have a splash of a vacation!

Great house excellent location

This house is in an excellent location right across from public beach access. We arrived early and parked at the beach until check in time. The house is large with ample space and plenty of bathrooms for a big group. So nice to wake up in the morning and take a short walk across the street to the beach. We really enjoyed it!

Great location

We were a bunch of friends staying for a day of deep sea fishing. The house was clean, had good hang out space for a large. Beach access is conveniently located across the street.

Great location and house helped make for an awesome vacation

We have a big family and everyone was comfortable in the house. The common area was great for gathering. The location is awesome....the beach access is directly across from the house. The house is in the Oregon Inlet so you're right between Hatteras and Corolla and Manteo; it's close to all of the shops, restaurants, and activities but in a quieter part of the OBX. For planning sake, know that there's a "starter pack" with detergents and each bathroom has shampoo and body wash but you'll need your own coffee filters, sugar, condiments, more detergent, etc. I highly recommend this house!

Awesome place made for a great vacation

The location is awesome.....the beach access is directly across the street and it's right in the middle of OBX and close to Manteo but the neighborhood was quiet. The property was clean and comfortable and even our big family had space to spread out. The main floor has a nice open plan. And the property comes with access to a nice pool nearby. For planning purposes, know that Vacasa gives you a "starter pack" of items but you'll need to bring things like coffee filters, seasoning, laundry detergent; there's not a lot of supplies. The kitchen is well stocked with pots and dishes etc. I highly recommend the house....we all really enjoyed our stay!

Perfect home for big family

I can’t express how much we loved this home. My family and I had more than plenty of space to enjoy our beach vacation. Everyone had their own room, bathroom, little corners to escape to. The house is right across from the beach and the pool is a few houses down. Definitely recommend this house for people traveling in a big group. The house is massive but perfect!

Great trip

Our fishing did not go as planned but this house lived up to the hype. Very clean and enough room for everyone. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice and clean

House is literally in front of the beach access. Pool is located at 9210 S Old Oregon rd. Could not find anywhere it was listed, so hopefully that helps someone.

Comfortable, spacious home in a fantastic location

Beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood. Quick and easy walk across the street to beach access with lifeguard. Sunrise views from the front facing decks and sunset views from the back. Plenty of space for our party of 8. Short walk to Jeanette's Pier and Fish Heads Bar and Grill, easy drive to shopping and lots of other dining options. 5 minute walk to the community pool. We look forward to booking this property again for future visits to Nags Head.

Great View

You could see the water from the deck, easy walk to the beach. Pet friendly, the deck needs some repairs with rusty nails and missing boards. Otherwise, we had an amazing time.

Nice home, nice location, missing some details

The house itself and the location were great for our family. However, it was missing some details like having tissues available, having a sufficient number of wash cloths, one window wasn't able to be locked, the toilet in one bathroom ran continuously after we had to turn on the water supply and the tub in that bathroom didn't drain well. The wifi information shared by text message also didn't match what was written down inside the house, which we eventually found. Again, we enjoyed our time at the house while exploring the area, but those extra details would have made it a more comfortable stay.

Great location but in need of serious upgrades

We really loved the location of this house. Great proximity to the beach and beautiful views from the deck on the back of the house. The backyard is a great size for families. We had 8 people stay (four adults and four kids-all teens). We found that there was ample space for everyone. The two beds for the adults were a bit small but still worked nonetheless. However, we felt our stay could have been better with some much needed upgrades in the house. The upper deck was new and they have new couches in the living room (different from the pictures you see online), so I believe they're starting to make changes. Everything is very "dated" in the home and seem original to when the house was first made. The bunk beds were really squeaky and seemed old. The washer and dryer were so loud we were unable to use it in the evening. The wicker furniture in the bedroom was pretty dirty. The top bunk beds were not made upon entering. The Vacasa rep told me that it's a liability for their housekeeping staff to make those beds, so be prepared to make them yourselves. None of the trashcans had liners. We had to place all of them inside. As I told the representative, I know all of that sounds petty, but these are things I do every day and look forward to them being ready to go when I am on vacation. (I'm obviously okay filling them as we use them throughout the week). We paid a lot of money to have things ready on arrival, so it was disappointing. As is, I don't know that I'd highly recommend this place as is. With upgrades, the location is great if you are looking for a quiet place to stay and hit the beach.

Great location

Our family enjoyed our stay at Friendly Waters! The location was great. Quiet neighborhood with easy beach access. The house was very comfortable and clean. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property. Looking forward to returning one summer!

Perfect location

The house exceeded expectations. Very clean, comfortable, and close to the beach. The perfect family getaway. Impressed with Vacasa response to an unforseen problem and quick repair by owner. We will definitely book this house again!
