Spacious 3BD/2.5BA with private pool just 1/2 block to the beach & walking distance to restaurants, bars and Entertainment District. The amenities have everything you need including cable, Wi-Fi, washer/dryer, loaded kitchen, dishwasher, microwave, all appliances & 2-car garage. Island grocery store is only a block away. This beach home has a terrace where you can enjoy fireworks during the weekend! Half block to the beach and located in the center of the island. Great spot to watch the weekend fireworks during the summer months! Please note that by city ordinance we can no longer provide a BBQ pit. NO PETS. Rentals agreement will follow after booking.

You may receive an email from them regarding a credit from Blue Ocean Vacation Rentals for the rental of your preferred beach equipment. Visit their website to select from a wide range of high-quality beach gear to make the most of your beach getaway.

IMPORTANT: You are booking a privately owned beach home, and as such we expect our guests to respect the property and building as if it is your own. Also, we cannot provide 24-hour service such as a hotel, any late night, or overnight requests, other than REAL emergencies, will be handled the next day.

The owners of 117A E Swordfish welcome you to their beach home! While staying here, we ask that you follow a few requests that will make everyone’s stay more enjoyable and keep the property looking good year after year.

1. Parking ~ is limited to 3 vehicles. Vehicles must be licensed, operable and registered to the occupants. Unauthorized vehicles will be towed at the owners’ expense.
2. Occupancy ~ Maximum capacity per unit is NO MORE than 6 guests. There must be at least one adult 25 years of age or older, registered, present and residing in the unit through the duration of the tenancy. Maximum occupancy is strictly enforced and exceeding it may result in immediate cancellation of booking or being expelled from the property.
3. Pets ~ The home does NOT accept pets for renters on the property. Any evidence or trace of unauthorized pets will have a fine of $400.
4. Noise ~ Loud noise of any sort; music, loud talking, boom boxes, etc. is not allowed.
5. Garbage and Tidiness ~ Garbage should all be disposed using the garbage container located in the front of the property. Please DO NOT dispose of cigarette butts, cans, candy wrappers, trash on the ground. We work hard to make certain the property looks good when you check in. Please help us keep it that way by picking up any litter before you leave.
6. Pool ~ Please wash ALL sand from your body BEFORE entering our pool. The pool equipment cannot handle sand from the beach and causes damage and equipment failure. Please DO NOT leave your children unattended.
7. BBQ ~ No BBQ pit is included.
8. Once booked, we will send a custom Rental Agreement for you to complete and sign online. Without this agreement we will not be able to host you.

Blue Ocean Vacation Rentals provides the disposable amenities necessary to get your vacation off to a comfortable start. These amenities include 1 set of hotel size soaps and shampoos per bathroom, 2 garbage bags, 1 roll of paper towel, 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, 1 dish soap, 1 dish sponge, 4-6 coffee pods and and a small amount of laundry detergent. We do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is your responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock with whatever else may be needed for the duration of your stay.

Towels and linens must only be used for their intended purpose. Do not stain them with food, grease or any other substance. Do not use towels to clean up any mess. Stained towels/linens will be charged.

Do not hang towels from the balcony or windows. A $100 fine may be applied if you break this rule.

Subletting not allowed.

Note: The owners of this property will NOT allow Spring Break activity on the premises.

Check in is easy and available 24 hours a day with a smart lock on the entrance door.

A link to a property guide with all pertinent info will be provided to the guest by text and email about 48-24 hours before arrival.

Hosts will be available for check-in assistance up until 10 pm, we ask that guests arriving late please let us know via text.

Service Animals need to be with the person they service 24/7. Service Animals cannot be left alone in the property. A service animal left alone in the property is not a service animal and will be penalized with a $400 fee.

Childs highchair and/or pack and play are available by request at $25/each, billed on a separate invoice.

"Early" check in and/or "Late" check out will be available, when possible, at a charge of $55 for each occurrence.

If there is an emergency that requires Police, EMS or Fire please call 911.

Date changes may be considered depending on the date of the change and availability for a $100 change fee plus any difference in price.

Cancellations for nightly reservations will receive a 96% refund if they are made more than 30 days before the scheduled arrival date. Please note that a service fee of $25 will also be charged for all cancellations, regardless of the timing. There will be no refund if the cancellation is made within 30 days prior to your arrival date. This policy does not extend to bookings that are eligible for monthly discounts.

The host will not pay for a hotel, vacation rental, or transportation expenses incurred because of an interruption in water or electrical service. If water or electricity is interrupted for more than 8 hours, guests have the option of canceling their reservation and requesting a refund for the nights not used. Under no circumstances will we refund consumed nights.

Great house and location!

House has everything you need! Private pool was fun for the afternoon, and the beach access is very close and easy. We’d definitely stay again!

Nice and Fully furnished

We fully enjoyed our stay! If we needed anything the renters were quick and responsive to help however they could. Highly recommended!

Overall Stay

House was very clean and a lot nicer in person. The only downfalls were all of the beds were rock hard and did not have a tv in master bedroom or bedroom by the pool. We enjoyed our stay and the view of the firework shows were a nice touch.

Cousins to the coast annual vacation

The townhome was very clean. The AC worked properly had enough towels. There were even beach towels and beach equipment supplied. having a washer and dryer on site was also a great accommodation a big plus was the private heated pool.

Enjoyed our stay!

Rod & Rosa were responsive & kind. Walking distance to beach. The property was fairly clean & had most everything we needed. Some of the beach & pool toys, chairs, etc are broken, but since these are left as a courtesy, it was fine. Would stay again.

Great place to stay in South Padre

This is a great place to stay on South Padre Island. It's only about a block from the beach. I would go down each morning and walk the beach for exercise and to soak up the waves and people watch. It's also very close to many bars and restaurants, many within walking distance. It was also great having a garage to park in during those few times when it was raining and you needed to go out and get in the car. Overall, we enjoyed our stay there and would recommend it to anyone that doesn't mind a few stairs as it is a two-story condo with the main floor on the top.

Amazing beach house!!!!

This house is amazing, it has everything you need for your family, the response from the owners is very quick. I have 2 teenage kids and they enjoyed every part of this house, we usually have to buy chairs for the beach and other necessities but this house has it all. It was very clean and neatly organized. I will definitely be booking with them again and if course recommending them.

Accommodating, inviting clean spot close to the beach

We fully enjoyed our stay at this property- easy check in, quick access to the beautiful beach and good restaurants. Appreciated the selection of beach towels, chairs and gear in the garage. The bedrooms are large, living space is very comfy, fully stocked kitchen for making meals (including an ice maker, spice rack, leftover containers) and a large dining table. We enjoyed our coffees on the large deck overlooking the pool and the fireworks on Thursday and Friday evenings. The pool is quite warm but clean and refreshing. Our only challenge was the extra hard firmness of the king mattress and the outside lights coming into in the upstairs room- it might not be ideal for a lengthy stay, depending on your sleep requirements. If we return, which we hope to do, we might bring our own cushioned mattress topper along (and sleep masks), for better quality rest. Otherwise, this is a perfect place to call home while exploring South Padre Island. Many thanks to Rosa and Rod for the kind hospitality.

Would stay here again.

This was our first visit to SPI, so I can't say I had any expectations. This home was clean perfect! It is very conveniently located to the beach, grocery store, liquor store, restaurants, and shopping-like walking distance. I don't know if we got lucky but neighbors in the surrounding houses were either extremely quiet or non existent. We noticed when we got there the pool was a little dirty and maybe the filter or something wasn't running, we texted Rod and Rosa and they were extremely quick to get it taken care of. One night we wanted to grill some steaks and realized there was no grill, again Rod and Rosa were very quick to solve our problem and brought over a little grill. Not being familiar with such a humid salty climate (from AZ) it became apparent why certain things are not left of the property because they rust. All the rooms were a great size and we appreciated a closet full of pillows with different firmnesses. :) The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals, when we decided to stay in and the refrigerator in the garage was perfect to put all of our drinks in. I loved the view from the top balcony of the lit up Ferris wheel at night. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. On top of Rod and Rosa being excellent at property management, I hope it's ok to also share that on our last night we took a private tour with Isla Charters, LLC on the bay, it was fantastic! Thank You Rod and Rosa for taking such great care of the property and us.

Family Getaway

Check-in was easy, enjoyed watching the fireworks from the balcony, swimming pool was clean and relaxing for our small group. Beach access down the street. Best lil vacation ever. Property manager always responded promptly.

Super clean and maintained. Just as listed, nice appliances, pool heated, but small. Would get new out door cushions and oil doors , but nice place.

Amazing experience

Thai is my families second time staying at this location. The property is clean and stocked with everything you need. Location is close to everything. The beach is a short walk away. The grocery store is a block away, restaurants are walking distance. We’ll be back again!
