Stay Away from This Property and fraudulent owner David F. and VRBO did nothing to help
Rented a studio in Hell's Kitchen for June 2023 - prepaid for 30 days. Morning of arrival David contacted there was a roach problem and if we could wait 2 more days to check in and asked for money through Paypal to help pay exterminator (first clue of suspicious activity) We are from Texas so we had to rent a hotel in Times Square in June which was not cheap! Upon going to the apartment 2 days later NOTHING was cleaned or exterminated, roaches crawling around everywhere (floors, bed, bathroom walls, garbage everywhere and smelled like urine). Immediately left and VRBO asked for photos. Upon returning the next morning, we discovered we were locked out. Owner became very rude and cursing to us. VRBO indicated the would escalate this to their Guarantee Team, in the meantime, we had spent 5 extra nights in a hotel in Times Square, we could not access the unit, so returned to Texas. VRBO finally responded 28 days later and said because we didn't have pictures they couldn't do anything! I explained we were locked out and could not get in to take pictures. They aid they could help as we left so they see it as a traveler "Cancellation". Do NOT use this host or VRBO as they don't stand behind their units!
