Welcome to the Briarwood Chalet - the perfect getaway in the beautiful Blue Lake Springs Community! Bring the whole family or gather with a group of friends and enjoy all that Arnold, California has to offer - swim at the lake, bike, hike, ski nearby or just relax with family & friends.
The space
This well appointed home features 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (1 with a bathtub), and easily sleeps 8. On the main floor, you will find an open floor plan with a well equipped kitchen, dining table that seats 6 (with additional seating for 4 at the kitchen bar), a wood-burning stove, and smart TV. Enjoy additional living space on the spacious wraparound deck - perfect for an afternoon BBQ or stargazing at night. On this level, there is a bedroom with a queen-sized bed, a full bathroom, and a large laundry room/mudroom equipped with a brand new washer and dryer available for guest use and plenty of room to hang your beach towels or store your snow gear! Continuing upstairs, you will find two additional bedrooms - one with a queen bed and one with two twins - each with oversized closets, a bathroom, and a loft area that includes a small table with chairs, couch/futon, and smart TV. The upstairs can be closed off from the main floor, which makes for an ideal retreat for children or remote working. There is a 24-inch computer monitor to aid in any working from "home" that needs to be done.

Once you've settled into the Briarwood Chalet, begin your day with a morning hike in Calaveras Big Trees State Park or a bike ride on the nearby Arnold Rim Trail, and enjoy a lazy afternoon by the pool and/or sandy beach lake in the Blue Lake Springs Recreation Center, which is less than 5 minutes from the Chalet. In the winter, enjoy a day on the slopes at the beautiful Bear Valley Ski Area, which is only about 40 minutes away. Other attractions include wineries and shopping in the quaint town of Murphys only 20 minutes away, and Columbia State Park, where visitors can experience a preserved Gold Rush town and pan for gold.
Guest access
There is room in the driveway for 3-4 cars, you can easily walk down to the community area which has tennis courts, a basketball court, pool, lake, BBQ's, and plenty of room to play or relax.

-Minutes away from restaurants and shopping (including a well-stocked grocery store).
-Computer monitor available for remote working.
-Woodburning stove; additional wall units heating located on each floor in the community areas as well as each bedroom. Air conditioner on the main level.
-Fully equipped kitchen for cooking + dining.
-Spacious deck with lounge seating and a BBQ grill. (Please note that the outdoor cushions may be unavailable during periods of unfavorable weather).
-Parking for multiple vehicles on the property.
-A Pack'n'Play and high chair are available for guest use (please use at your own risk)
-All beds are prepared with clean and comfortable linens.
-Towels (including beach towels) are included.

Other things to note
-Cell phone service can be spotty. We recommend that you have WiFi calling enabled on your phone and use the cabin's WiFi.
-Please note the Blue Lake Springs Recreation Center is open to all guests of Briarwood Chalet, however, usage fees apply.
-We will consider up to two dogs per visit for an extra fee per dog. Please inquire prior to booking.
-The entrance to the main cabin is up a set of steps - guests will need to climb 3 outdoor steps for access.
-This cabin is in the mountains, and we do not allow refunds for cancellations for weather-related issues i.e. snow. In the rare event that getting to the cabin is not possible due to closed roads without alternate routes available we will allow for refunds for those extenuating circumstances.
